A Bunch of Reasons You Should Be Watching Steven Universe

Steven Universe is a great show. I wish I had started watching as soon as it was released. It took some poking and prodding but at this point, I'm fully committed to the show. I was going to sit down and come up with five reasons you should be watching the show but that would be stupid. So I've (with some help from twitter) created a list with a bunch of reasons to watch Steven Universe. 

1. They are the Crystal Gems and they'll always save the day and if you think they can't they'll always find a way.
2. The first Cartoon Network show every created by a woman.
3. It's funny. Not "Ha Ha" funny but genuinely pure funny and puts you in a good mood. 
4. On the other side, the sad moments are really really...really sad
5. You know what, they just do a good job of displaying all the emotions
6. That soundtrack is awesome. All I wanna be is someone who gets to see a giant woman, and Cookie Cat left his family behind. You don't get these jokes because you haven't watched yet.
7. The voice cast features: Estelle, Nicki Minaj and Reagan Gomez. That's more Black Star Power than BET's marathon of Stacy Dash videos.
8. All the fighting moves are based on dance. Garnette is waacking, Amethyst is dance-hall, Pearl is ballet and so on.

10. Ronaldo is an anime fan. I know how you all like anime.

13.  Gender roles out the window (Steven cries a lot, but isn't shamed for it and Connie kicks a lot of ass but isn't told to go play with dolls. Fuck your gender roles) - @euphoriastfu
14.  Greg is a good dad yet clueless and that's okay.
15. Sadie and Lars - There is something going on there more than friendship.
16. There's an overarching story but still plenty of one off adventures.
17. Deals with complex issues (Spoiler: Garnet is fusion of a lesbian couple) - @JustSayWordsPod

20. Healing spit
21. It is an amazingly animated show
22. All of the characters are unique and even side characters have growth and development

27. Teaches love. Not just love between family like Greg and Steven, or romance like Ruby and Sapphire or love between friends like Amethyst and Vidalia
28. Tumblr (the show is all over tumblr including the crew) - @hciwtfel
29. Perfect blend of humor, action and drama - @tygatson
30. Because it's a smart show offering amazing lessons about consent and love without talking down to the audience - @JJOutlaw
31. It captures simultaneously what it's like to be a parent and a child without resorting to needless sentimentality - @mythical_geeks
32. It's Science-Fiction
33. It's for kids to senior citizens but doesn't rely on hidden sex jokes to get adults watching
34. It's just, fucking awesome
35. Because Stone Cold said so
