Rise above hate. I know the IWC hates Cena, but the fact is he has to win this Sunday at TLC. Yes I said it, John Cena has to win. I'm personally 110% against a title unification but it's going to happen and John Cena winning would be the best option for everyone involved.
As much as people hate John Cena he needs to be given credit. John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Shawn Michaels, Mark Henry, CM Punk, Steve Austin etc. None of them are 3rd generation superstars like Randy Orton and The Rock, yet they all worked their asses off and made their way to the top. You don't have to like Cena, but you have to respect his hard work. Some weeks he'll promote WWE in one state, fly to raw then fly to SmackDown, fly to house shows for each brand and then do more promo. Not to mention the "Be A Star" program and granting wishes. Do you know why Orton doesn't do promo or grant wished? He's a dick and people know it.
Randy Orton is the face of the WWE. That's something that has been said a lot, but lets be honest, that's a lie. A bold face lie in the face of WWE fans everywhere. John Cena is the face of the WWE and has been for a long a time now. When WWE has a major unveiling who do you see? WWE is currently in Las Vegas right now to announce the WWE network. Do you know who is there? Vince McMahon, Shawn Michaels, Tripple H, Steve Austin and John Cena. Not Randy Orton. As much as WWE has attempted to make Randy Orton the face of the WWE since his debut, it hasn't worked and it never will.
Do you know why Randy Orton will never be the face of WWE? Because John Cena was right when he spoke of Randy Orton on Raw. Randy is where he is because of his name and nothing else. John was right, Randy does have behavior issues and he's a dick. I won't even talk about his dishonorable discharge from the Marine Corps. Randy Orton is known for shitting in bags, failing more drug test than a high flying Hardy boy and burying more men than HHH with a truck full of shovels.
I'm serious, while Cena was the first person to lay down to guys like CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler,Orton is known for two major things. First the firing of Mr. Kennedy. One of the most popular stars in WWE at that time and quickly rising through the ranks of the main event scene. During a match on Raw competitors were forced to compete in jerseys for the NBA Finals. During this match Kennedy hit Orton with a back drop, a move he did on the regular. However since both were wearing jerseys there was some slippage and Orton landed on his wrist. Now this didn't break his wrist, or put him out of action. It just hurt a little more than usual. Orton complained and for some reason Kennedy magically vanished from TV that week and the next time we saw him he was on youtube under his real name of Ken Anderson several months later. He didn't even get the "best of luck in your future endeavors."
But Ken Anderson isn't alone. Kofi Kingston, one of the most over superstars consistently for the last five years felt the vipers wrath. Kofi and Orton feuded all throughout 2009 with Kofi's career reaching new heights. Then he botched a single move after a year of feuding. Orton had a meltdown in the ring and started yelling "STUPID STUPID STUPID." Kofi works a high flying style with lots of acrobatic moves so botches are bound to happen, but one in an entire year killed the biggest push of his career. Kofi then lost almost every match for 2010 and 2011 but he stayed over with the fans and in 2013 things are starting to look up for him.
When asked about it on Smacktalks Radio Kofi just said, "Everyone knows Randy kinda has an attitude, so that's Randy being Randy." Who knows how many countless others Orton has buried. Currently Dolph Ziggler has been on the downturn. Is it because he said he tired of WWE always backing Orton?
John Cena has to win this Sunday. He'll accept new contenders from the midcard and has no problem lying down for the count. He'll continue to promote the WWE. Unlike Orton, he'll still be on Raw and SmackDown every week. Love him or hate him, at least you feel some way about him.

Cena is stale and that's all he'll keep being
ReplyDeleteIf the only reason you dislike him then you probably dislike Orton too, he's pretty stale too.
DeleteThe only reason I say Randy should win is because he has nothing to do if he loses. For the last 3 years he's done nothing but small feuds here and there but overall you forget about him at some point. John Cena if he loses can feud with the Shield, The Wyatt Family, and anyone else. Randy needs this or there is no point in him being in WWE anymore
ReplyDeleteI'd rather see Randy feud with the Shield or The Wyatt Family than Cena. Simply because not too long ago Cena was feuding with The Nexus. I'd like to see Randy try to help put over some new talent like Jericho does when he comes in, but I just can't see that happening. Honestly there isn't a lot I can see Randy doing. I honestly find him kind of boring.
DeleteRandy is just there hanging on to the WWE Championship. He has no real purpose any more but to get paid.
ReplyDeleteYou're right because I'm not sure whats next for Randy. He's the champ, now what?
DeleteHe'll probably hold it for a few months then lose it to Triple H
