Flame of Recca Volume 28 Review: Zombies Huh?

Chapters 268-278

I am so over the main characters finding sympathy with their villains. It literally never stops. Why can't we just beat a person to death or to unconsciousness? If you place Team Hokage in any other series they would die because they were too busy protecting everyone. You can't save everyone but somehow they do and its not cool. You can't save every villain you come across because if you do, they were not villains to begin with or the series has no consequences. These "villains" can do whatever and the heroes will just forgive them. At first I was giving them the benefit of doubt because they're all 16 and below but ven Ichigo has bodies. Luffy may not kill but he'll beat them unconscious. If they find a way to save Mori Koran I will destroy my computer.

Everyone ends up meeting on another whether through by being saved or randomly running into each other. The whole gangs here fighting lackluster villains. Domon could have easily beat Marie and her sex slaves but Recca just had to come in and do nothing. Fuuko had to save Kaoru because he has way too many feelings. Kagero is the MVP of this volume. She's the only one thinking critically and shows direction. Domon would have died early on if not for her.

This volume was useless. It was here just for the crew to meet up but it was all just a wild goose chase with more need less emotions for people no one cares about. At this point I just care about Tokiya facing his old master. That is the only fight I'm looking forward to because I know it will be great. Tokiya is the only one who has good fights. I say this every review but hopefully the next volume truly is amazing.
