Gintama Chapter 664 Review: All Dogs Go To Heaven

The closer we get to the end of Gintama the more tears I cry. Sadaharu is laying everything on the line so that Gin and the gang can defeat Utsuru but it seems time ran out. The entire chapter is a half flashback as we see moments of Sadaharu waiting for each of the Yorozuya to return home to give them a nice welcome as in real time, we see the Yorozuya fighting to the death with Utsuru before Sadaharu eventually fades away and the Dragon Vein returns.

In reality Gin and the gang, though they gave it all they got tring to defeat him, failed. With the Veins returning Utusru will have his immortality back. He still has a piece of the sword mixing with his blood but its still a matter of time before he regains full immortality. It seems Sadaharu sacrificed himself for nothing, Gintama has never been cliche but who know. Maybe there is some plot defying moment that leads to him being resurrected.

There's still Utsuru. How will Gin and company defeat him now? The tree of them have been trying their all but they're only getting bits and pieces of him while he's slicing them up and beating them down. Its, for the most part been even but now the trio doesn't have time on their side. Hopefully Umibozou has something up his sleeve that will take Utsuru down. Maybe he'll come in with the clutch attack ending him once and for all. I feel like Gin may give him the final blow though.

This was a great chapter. My heart was being pulled as Sadaharu was sacrificing himself. The action was dope. Seeing Kagura and Shinpachi hold their own with Gin beating up Utsuru was dope. The next chapter is going to be wild and I can not wait.
