One of the most quintessential things in anime has to be a squad, team or faction. These entities especially if they're affiliated with the main character can truly boost the enjoyment of the anime. Feeling like you can be apart of that team or relate to the characters in it is great. Today I'm talking about some of the best squads to grace us.
Z Fighters
We've all been watching them since the squad was small with only Goku, Yamcha, Krillin and Bulma and now we have 4 sets of families and the rest of the gang like Hercule, Buu, and Tien. The Z fighters seem to keep expanding as the series continues and it's for the better. Seeing Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Krillin start families and continue to fight alien threats is amazing. Some days you sit back and wonder just how you would fit into the dynamic of the group. Plus, who wouldn't want to be surrounded by a team full of fighters?
Team Urameshi
This is probably one of the best squads to be created in anime. The whole team is full of fighters. 3 of them will fade you on site with no questions asked. They always have each others back and have fun when they aren't saving the world. Plus, all 4 of them have so much swag and clout between them that it's ridiculous. When you add the other characters like Genkai, Keiko and the others the party just keeps on going.
Yorozuya
The Yorozuya trio is a squad that never gets boring. All three, Gin, Shinpachi and Kaguya are a pair I never want to see split. All of them need each other to survive and push each other to new heights.But at the end of the day, they have so much love for each other and are willingly to do anything for another. Also there is no hurting one of them because in the words of Kyle "If you fuck with one of us you gotta squab the rest of us".
Strawhats
The Strawhat Pirates are probably the best Crew I've seen in anime as you can't fuck with one of them. You have to fight each of them and they'll let you do it one on one but someone is running your fade. Also how could you fuck with them? They've got crazy bounties, shooters and hitters and Sanji might fuck your bitch as Luffy eats all your food. The swag on this team is
10th Generation Vongola Family
Swag out the ass. Each member of the Vongola Family as their own fashion sense that goes with their personality. That aside each member has their role in the group. Tsuna's the bitch, Haru and Kyoko are the potential girlfriends of the group, Gokudera is the hot head always butting heads with the laid back Yamamoto as Lambo is the hyperactive 5 year old. Chrome is the mysterious girl while Hibari, while he doesn't actually hang out with the group, he's the silent badass. Don't step out of line and you won't be bitten to death. The gang is all fun but they are also gang gang. They will beat your ass if you can't chill.
Shinsengumi
Edo's own Government Police force full of rambunctious members from the Captain to the seat members. Kondou, Hijikata and Okita have a weird dynamic with themselves and the rest of the Shinsengumi. They fight and play pranks on each other all the time and never get their job done. Throughout the entire series I think they've arrested one person. If they're not fighting each other they're fighting the Yorozuya but if you fuck with either of them, you might as well be able to kill them all or run to the nearest continent because they won't stop until you're dead. The whole squad is dressed to death and might steal yo girl.
Fairy Tail Guild
I stopped reading Fairy Tail a long time ago but before I stopped there was one thing I learned. No matter what happens, the Fairy Tail Guild will always have each other's backs. You can try but you might just end up without a home. When Gajeel and his Phantom Guild attacked Fairy Tail while they were away, before the Phantom Guild could celebrate, the FTG was already breaking down their door ready to rumble and I mean they beat the shit out of everyone there. Disbanded the whole Guild. On top of that the Guild has some wild times together. I wouldn't mind being apart of that Guild.
Soul Eater Squad
Probably the coolest Squad right after the Vongola Family. The connection between Soul, Black Star, and Kid is pretty damn fun and the others add to that except for Maka. Fuck her. But the rest of the crew is amazing. They just do tons of cool shit while being pretty badass.
Sailor Senshi
Sailor Moon and the rest of the Sailor Scouts have been purifying evil and teaching us life lessons for years. When I was younger I would love to watch the show because of the cool chemistry between the characters. They would always have fun at the arcade and at each other's houses. even though they were saving the world by day, they still lived a relatively normal teenage life filled with food, boys and friendship.
