Ranking The Quiett's Albums from Worst To Best

South Korean Rapper and Producer The Quiett has been making music and gems since 2005. So far he has a total of 7 solo Albums as well as 4 Mixtapes, 1 EP and 3 Collaborative Albums. Today I''k be ranking his Solo Albums from Worst to best even though I do believe he doesn't have a bad Album. Some just aren't as great as the others.

1Life2Live (2015)
Rating: 6.6/10
Favorite Tracks: "Your World", "Bentley" "Hallelujah"
The Quiett dropped his 6th Studio Album 1Life2Live. Before the album was released, at an Illionaire concert before it started fans could here new Quiett music. Some described it as less braggadocios and more soulful like his previous albums before creating the label Illionaire in 2011. Those people were either wrong or maybe he was playing music from Q Train 2 before it was even released. Now Quiett is known for his soulful production and lyrics but that was only on half of this album on songs like "Your World and "My Life" The rest of the Album had autotune lyrics about nothing plus some good beats but that is the selling point. The production on this album, handled by Quiett and Prima Vista, was A1 but the lyrical content just didn't match. Even then, I still don't think it's a bad album but it is a Bad Quiett album. It just doesn't hold up to his better work.

Music (2005)
Rating: 7.5/10
Favorite Tracks: "Take The Q Train", "Get Down", "섬"
"Music" is Quiett's first album and it is completely produced by him with minimal vocals from him compared to his other albums. There are 4 features on here from Fana, Paloalto, Kebee, and Jerry.K all of which match Quiett;s production well. The album is laced with love songs, party songs and everything in between. You can feel how passionate Quiett is in his music just through the beats. This man has an elegant soul. Music also houses the infamous track "Take The Q Train", probably the best song on the album. Now out of the 7 this album is placed 6 only because even though this is a good album, all of the other albums just happen to be better. Music is an amazing album that laid the groundwork for the Quiett we know today.

Millionaire Poetry (2017)
Rating:7/10
Favorite Tracks: "U Everything" "Still Got Luv", "Girlfriend"
This album dropped earlier this year and I couldn't be more excited as it comes one year after Q Train 2 and before the album dropped, The Quiett released three great tracks; Still Got Luv" with Keem Hyoeun, "Beautiful Life 2" with Hash Swan and "Mission" with Dok2. I was excited because all of the songs were great but Mission set the tone because its was a mix of Soul Company Quiett and Illionaire Quiett. It was a perfect blend and that is Millionaire Poetry besides Mission. It didn't make the cut. But the rest of the album even though there are braggadocios tracks, it felt like everything Quiett had done over the years had fused together to make this album. This may be in the lower half of the list but it's made its mark on it as well.

Q Train (2006)
Rating: 7.8/10
Favorite Tracks: "Take The Q Train Remix", "Dolphin Dance"
The second album released, the classic, the album that pushed him to stardom. Q Train is his most recognized work yet and for a while some could consider his best work but as time went on, more was to come. Q Train is a phenomenal album. It is a soundtrack to our daily lives. You could place this as the score to any movie and it would fit perfectly. Maybe not a horror movie though. You will get lost in this album, wake up in another world, and feel emotionally liberated. Q Train is that good.

The Real Me (2007)
Rating:7/10
Favorite Tracks: "Love People, Love Music", "Get Her", "Shine Your Light"
The Quiett's third Studio Album comes in the form of "The Real Me". Compared to his previous albums, this one has a lot more features and even though he raps on each song, this album keeps the Q's signature style of catering to the overall mood of the music. When he raps he does his part well but he lets the beat play when it should and his features never outshone him or the beat. The album features such as Tiger JK, Dok2, Simon Dominic and other Soul Company members to create such a playful, serious and love filled atmosphere. I saw playful because eon some tracks like "Get Her", there's a tad bit comical style of rapping and lyricism describing meeting this woman. Its an overall playful song that puts a smile on your face. The Quiett also seemed to be a lot more confident and comfortable as a rapper which helped make this album stellar.

Quiett Storm: A Night Record (2009)
Rating: 8/10
Favorite Tracks: "Be My Luv", "Airplane Music", "Stars"
I get butterflies when I think about this album. This is my favorite project from him because it just makes me feel so rejuvenated when I listen to it. When I listen to it, it feels like 2009 even though the album itself is timeless. We have Verbal Jint, Swings and Quiett all on one track,"Stars", tearing up over a smooth beat. "Airplane Music" is full of legends spitting hot verses on a sick beat. Lyrically this is his best album yet. There is nothing but soul and passion when listening to it  and honestly I could cry at how amazing this is and how much it means to me.

Q Train 2 (2016)
Rating: 9/10
Favorite Tracks: "Martial Beat Arts 2", "Nightlife", "Dragon Quest"

This is his best album yet. When I said Q Train was a soundtrack to our life, Q Train 2 is the soundtrack to our life and soul. A full 19 tracks on the digital and 21 on the physical album, the album is full of beautifully crafted songs that are molded around human emotions. Love Letter and "Very Special" are great love songs. The way Quiet reworks Gwen Guthrie's "You Touched My Life" as a hiphop beat is musically crazy. The sample was great. Dok2's persona The Notorious Kid returns on "I Just" rapping about just wanting to rap was cool while Changmo, Chamane, Justhis and Okasian are killing it on their respective tracks. I can listen to the entire album without skipping a song. Q Train 2 was taking a step back from the more hiphop, popular, night life lifestyle with Q going back to a more soulful beat oriented project. He showcases not only why he is one the best but also that he can still drop masterpieces.

  1. After listening for some time I would definitely put The Real me or Quiett storm first for my list, but very good list.
