Let's look at Neji for a second. During the first half of the series Neji was built up as the the third strongest of the youth from Konaha. The same goes for the second half. The entire series Neji has been built up as being second to only Sasuke and Naruto. Yet, of all the ninja to die in the war, the only one with a name was Neji. What? It makes no sense either. It was the most random death in the war. It was the only death in the war. Everyone else somehow walked out okay. Are you telling me Ino is more equipped for war than Neji?
Lets look at it like this. Neji died because of a stick. A stick killed Neji. Now, I admit. I'm upset Neji died but he shouldn't have been the only one. In fact he probably shouldn't have died after some of the stuff others lived through. I mean c'mon. Tsunade was ripped in half. RIPPED IN HALF. Her internal organs were split right down the middle. It's cool, no biggie. She just took some Robitusson, a Senzu Bean and walked it off like it never happened.
Guy opened all of the gates willing to sacrifice himself. Naruto just laid the healing hands of Ninja Jesus on him and it was all good. Kakashi actually did die during the Pain arc, but he walked it off. Sakura used all of her chakra to heal the entire army and was said to be a life threatening maneuver. She's fine, no biggie. I get it, Kishimoto wanted to kill a character and make the war seem real to us. Fine, but there were so many other character that could have died.
Kiba: I like Kiba. Well I did. Kiba was cool in the first half of the series. He had the coat, he had the personality. He was like Naruto but cooler. Kiba was the cool kid in the class. Then the second half rolled around. Kiba was like the really cool kid in high school that peaked. Then you see him afterwards and realize, he peaked in high school. Kiba didn't do anything useful in the second half. He could have died. I wouldn't feel bad. It's not like he could have done anything else. Neji could have become the head of his clan and ended that whole "secret slavery" thing they have going on
Ten Ten: We don't even know her clan name. Hinata has the combat skill, Sakura is currently the best medic, and even Ino is a great interrogator. What is Ten Ten doing with her life? Nothing. Kishimoto didn't even care enough to give her a clan name. Is she an orphan?
Sai: He served his purpose. At some point he stopped being relevant. He got Ino pregnant and had some weird looking kid. That's it. He should have laid down his life. He was suicidal anyway.
Seriously. Why did it have to be Neji? He had so much he could have completed. Instead he gets a grave stone in the final chapter. Neji didn't deserve that.

Sai could have lowkey been useful during the war. He could have been creating giant creatures and shit but he isn't relevant so. And that awkward moment when you realize Shikaku and Ino's father died and they had no funeral
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot they died for some reason. Maybe because Choji's dad was still around & I just grouped the 3 together. It's fine. Shikamaru probably thought a funeral would have been a drag.
DeleteShikamaru would have said something like that. And because of Choji's dad, I think everyone just forgot about them all lol
