WWE: More Family Oriented Than Ever

WWE is now family orienteered. Ever since the birth “PG-Era” the demographics of who WWE is trying to reach out to is now the younger audience but still at the same time keeping older and old time fans to keep tuning in. Also WWE supports things such as Be A Star (Anti-Bullying campaign), and Make A Wish (Children with life threating conditions get to meet their heroes). WWE also prides itself on being mainly about entertainment and doesn’t try to go over the top by trying to be something that the company itself is not.

WWE has about 330 live events each year, most people can say that WWE comes around or comes close to where they live which provides them an opportunity to go see their favorite Pro Wrestlers and divas. This information that I just gave you were strengths that WWE has over the competition. Since the competition (NFL, Nascar, and Live Nation) doesn’t necessary cater to the younger demographic that WWE does and don’t do as much as in terms of charity. WWE has those areas and plan on keeping one step above the competitor when it comes down to the examples that I have provided.

There are a few things that the competition does have over WWE. The competition branches out to the demographics that involve older adults which in turn provides them with more opportunities compared to WWE. NFL and Nascar have more sponsorships with beer companies and other “mature companies” which bring in a lot of financial revenue for those companies.  The impending net neutrality law may affect the price of WWE’s streaming service. WWE isn’t as well known compared to the NFL and Nascar, which shows that WWE advertisement isn’t as strong in certain areas compared to the NFL and Nascar.
