Death of X: Inhumans Aren't Good People

Death of X was goig to show us how Cyclops did something that was so horrible he would go down in history next to Hitler. It was going to show us how he finally crossed the line of no return and became a full blown villain. But, it didn't. Instead it showed us that even when they freed their slaves and stopped practicing eugenics because everyone had access to the mists now, that the Inhumans are just bad people deep down. That's not to say there aren't good Inhumans likea Kamala Khan but the ones associated withthe royal family are just down right dispicable.
A lot of people have complained that Mutants like Storm were acting out of character for this event. But, I don't think that's further from the truth. Storm has always had a tendency to question any form of authority she did not trust. Her first major interaction with the Inhumans comes with her flying up to Medusa's balcolny and flat out telling her that she doesn't trust them. They released the cloud and Mutants are dying. Despite what the Inhumans have said, they've done nothing to stop the cloud. She's got the right to be distrustful of them. Wouldn't you be?

Later Storm's team of X-Men arive to help an Inhuman field team settle a riot. One of the Inhumans knocks everyone out with his ability to force sleep. When the X-Men wake up the Inhumans are praised as heroes. Again would you not be upset if you were helping only to get knocked out then overlooked? The Inhumans don't think about how their actions will affect others before they act.

Cyclops dies due to M-Pox but completes his mission of figuring out a way to alter the clouds. He tells Emma Frost not to let his dream die. She has a mental break and thinks this means projecting an illusion of Cyclops is the best choice. Hey, it worked so I'm not going toi judge because she followed his plan anyway. Except that whole thing where she used his face to tell the world that Inhumans can't be trusted. But, she had a point there too. She stated that the Terrigan mists were killing both humans and mutants alike, and she's right. When a Mutant comes into contact with the cloud, they get M-Pox and die. When a human comes into contact with it they undergo terrigenises if they have the Inhuman trait, but not all of them survive this. In fact, most don't.

What about the end where the Inhumans confront Cyclops after he has the mutant Alchemy change the clouds chemical make up, only so it's not harmful to mutants. Alchemy lies there dying and the Inhumans won't let anyone help him. At that point Medusa asks why Cyclops made enemies of them and declared war on them by removing the toxicity from the cloud. Cyclops responded that the Inhumans had already waged war when they released the mists. Then Medusa declares war on Mutants and tells Black Bolt to kill Cyclops.

I mean, he's got a point. He never waged any kind of war against the Inhumans. All he did was change the chemical makeup of a cloud that was killing mutants. A cloud the Inhumans created and often claimed to be taking care of, but never did. The Inhumans tried once to move the clouds and failed, so they never did anything else to stop the deaths. Instead they set up field teams to follow the clouds and scoop up new Inhumans. These clouds are only around because of Black Bolt releasing them in a show of force. When X-Men like Storm kindly confronted them she was basically told "That sounds more like a Mutant problem than an Inhuman problem."

Then we see Medusa declare war on Mutants because of the cloud being rendered non-lethal to mutants but keeping it's other effects. Cyclops never declared war on anyone. Sure, he said people need to work together to overcome the Inhumans and mists, but he didn't tell anyone to kill Black Bolt or declare war.

Death of X jsut me accept what I always knew deep down, Cyclops was right. It even made me sympathetic for Emma Frost because she went crazy trying to bring this man's dream to reality. Hell even Storm who initially disagreed with Cyclops had to accept that the Inhumans are horrible individuals.
