Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Review - Part 1

If you haven’t read my previous Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure articles please do so if you’re not familiar with the series and do so anyway because I put effort into those pieces. You can check those out here:

Phantom Blood: Part 1
Phantom Blood: Part 2
Battle Tendency

Another reason to check these previous articles out is due to the fact that if you haven’t seen or read this series you’ll get lost pretty quick while reading this article.

So we start off part three of Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure with Jotaro Kuro who is the grandson of Joseph Joestar. Jotaro simply put is a bad ass and just doesn’t give a single fuck about anything really. Even though Jotaro seems like a one dimensional character, as the arc goes on he starts to grow on me. I still think Joseph is the best Joestar so far. Anyway let me segue way into the story.

Long story short Dio isn’t dead. Yes Dio somehow managed to survive and even attached his head onto Jonathon Joestar’s dead body. When this happened certain people, well mainly just a few people in the Joestar family and a few other new characters that play an important role in this arc get the power of stand. Think of a stand as a ghost that can take humanoid form and can fight for you.

Now in Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure, stands do most of the fighting. Here is the cool part though, if you or your enemies stand gets damaged then that damaged affects you or the enemy. Here is the problem though; Jotaro’s mother Holly, health begins to decline due to her having a stand. If Jotaro and Joseph don’t defeat and kill Dio within a certain time frame Holly will die.
