Battle Tendency is the second arc of Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure. In this arc the main protagonist is Jonathan’s grandson Joseph Joestar AKA Jo Jo. Battle Tendency deals with Joseph battling almighty ancient beings that are called Pillar men.
In this arc you’ll find out more about the stone masks (there is more than one stone mask) and you’ll learn more about the creator of the stone masks. Battle Tendency is pretty awesome, the plot gets deeper, you’ll get to learn more about the Joestar family, and the villains are pretty bad ass. You’ll even get to see old characters from Phantom Blood in Battle Tendency.
Jo Jo reminds me of Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho and once you watch or read you’ll see why. Check out Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency. Then move into part 3 of Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure, Stardust Crusaders.
P.S the fights are pretty crazy, the plot twists are interesting, and character development is strong in this arc. Zeppelin family might be cursed. Lisa Lisa and Jo Jo interesting family relationship is revealed. Who is a better villain Kars or Dio? A black character prospers in this arc (Obama status) which is great considering the time period this arc is set in. Is Dio alive or dead? Von motherfucking Stroheim.
