Black Women Are The Most Disrespected Group Of Women In America Especially In Wrestling

Legendary black leader Malcolm X once talked about the plight of black women in America in a speech when he said that “The most disrespected person in America is the Black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the Black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman.”

That statement that Malcolm X made about 60 years ago still rings very true to this day and it’s not only in all forms of entertainment, but it’s very prevalent inside of the professional wrestling business where the disrespect towards black women is very prevalent.

Many modern day black female wrestlers such as Big Swole, Faye Jackson, Nyla Rose, Trish Adora, Marti Belle, Brooke Valentine have all talked about the numerous struggles that they have gone through as black women throughout their careers in shoot interviews that they did for “Wrestling With Stereotypes” which you can watch on YouTube.

Many black women have experienced some form of overt racism during their years in the wrestling industry. Legendary black female wrestler Jazz who talked about how WWE never had an action figure for her let alone put her face on any promotional posters. Another black female wrestler in Bianca Belair has also been heavily targeted by racists in The IWC on Twitter since her NXT days making negative comments about not only her appearance, but especially her hair. Let’s not forget the ultimate disrespect that WWE gave Bianca by absolutely burying her entire momentum and historic Smackdown Women’s Title Run in 26 seconds by Super Becky in easily the absolute worst women’s wrestling match of 2021 at SummerSlam in which she was literally Kofi-ed. Veteran black wrestler Naomi has experienced heavy racism from WWE and The IWC for many years and when her husband Jimmy Uso was arrested again for DUI, racists immediately blamed her for her husband’s outside the ring troubles so much to the point of her completely deleting her entire Twitter account.

And then there’s one of the best women’s wrestlers of all time in Sasha Banks who has been heavily disrespected by WWE ever since her main roster run started in 2015. Their disrespect towards her came by giving her the Raw Women’s Title at least 4 of the 5 times to only drop it to caucasoid women just a few weeks later in her first title defense between 2016-2017 until they finally let her have a solid 6 month run with The Smackdown Women’s Title from October 2020 - April 2021. Out of all of The 4 Horsewomen, Sasha Banks is easily booked the worst mainly due to her having the combined total short title reigns. Also, She & Bianca were disrespected by The IWC when they were chosen to main event WM37 Night 1 by being told by the racist doucebags in The IWC that “their match wasn’t important”, “it ain’t that serious”, & “it ain’t all that special”

And then there’s Brandi Rhodes who has been the target of extreme sexist and racist vitriol from caucasoid men in The IWC for years  now before AEW even became a thing. I remember whenever she did appear on TV or tweeted something on Twitter, they kept throwing so much toxic vitriol at her to the point of her deleting her entire Twitter account. And more recently Jade Cargill has also been the target of extreme sexist and racist vitriol from the predominantly caucasoid male AEW & IWC fan base calling her “ape, gorilla, and looks too much like a man” recently responded to these sexist and racist doucebags by tweeting on her Twitter page: “What do some (not all) of you fans have against black women wrestlers? I hear it so much and it sickens me. It’s 2021. 🙄I’m talking about it. Cause everyone else is scared. I’m not.”

Note: She later decided to detox herself from the racist and sexist doucebags in The IWC by deleting her Twitter page.

And then there’s the extreme sexist and racist vitriol thrown constantly towards black female wrestling fans, podcasters, and content creators. I have noticed over the past few years whenever a black woman is immediately targeted online whenever they voice an opinion in regards to certain wrestlers, wrestling matches, storylines, promos, etc & it’s absolutely disgusting and sickening.

The Conclusion - To all my sistas in wrestling (wrestlers, fans, podcasters) that have killed it this year and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, keep doing you and don’t even concern yourselves about that others say about you because Black Girls Rock!!!
