Gintama Chapter 665: Doggy Spirit Bomb

Once again Gintama has me on the edge of my seat. I really thought it was the end for our good ole dog Sadaharu but he never gave up. He casted away his physical body so that he could enter the spiritual plain in order to continue suppressing the Dragon Veins. On top of that Ane and Mone show up to help Sadaharu. Maybe with their strength they can help Sadaharu suppress the Dragon Veins long enough for the gang to finally beat Utsuru.

But at the same time they've all been decimated. The rest of the town show up for encouragement but honestly its looking good for them. From the beginning of the arc I foresaw everyone taking a swing at Utsuru sort of how the Yorozuya and the Shinsengumi threw hands with them from the start. But we all know how that turned out. I'm not surprised if every single one of them start to fight Utsuru in place of Gin and gang. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Sadaharu finishes it himself with a huge dog spirit bomb.

This was a great chapter. We were met with even more despair as it seemed there was no way we could bounce back and defeat Utsuru. He truly is a great villain. I hate this man with all my heart. I am troubled though, I like the idea of the entire cast whooping Utsuru's ass but at the same time, whose going to deliver the final blow? Gin can't do it. Will Katsura's faction make it back in time for Takasugi to slice his head off? That would be dope. That would complete the story and his resolution of wanting to beat him. Also he would be saving Gin, something unheard of. The lore of him beating Utsuru is pretty interesting.

Anyway, the chapter was fine. With this chapter its definite that there are only about 10 or les chapters left in the series and it pains me. I've been reading this series for 10 years and I'm not ready to see it go.
