Poem: I Can't See You Even With My Eyes Glared by Garser Dismuke

The kittens gnaw at my shoes trying to get a string or maybe a fish. The girl next door is cute but she sits on the porch on the phone and won't look left. My head spins like a tilted plate on a spoon. I can barely look right. The voices of the wind flow through my hair as carries are picked between us. The sun is gone now but there is warmth in our hearts. She goes inside as I stare into the sky with a smile
