Poem: This Storm Is My Ex by Garser Dismuke

You can’t stand close to the windows or you might be struck by lightning.
The storm is raging like an ex that can’t move on. She’ll bust the windows out your car but this time she’ll flood it.
No more trips to the mall to flirt with the cute Korean chick at Too Cool.
She won't back off the glass with her breath it seeps through
and clutches me when I'm asleep. Its hard to fall sometimes because the rain
drops to the windowpane like bombs and my eardrums ring like my phone cause
She calls like a bill collector
Well, at least in an online review, you were told how much of an “evocative” writer you are.
