Jida - Fade Away Album Review

Producer Jida has released his first EP with singer-songwriter Rachel Lim. This album contains 6 tracks with 3 being previously released and 1 being a remix. Usually I would hate it when an artist gives us only 2-3 new songs and the rest are singles or remixes but since every song here is amazing and the album flows, I let it go. The chemistry between the two artist is amazing. The beats are so spacey yet soulful enough that you pay attention to every piano chord and so on but Rachel's voice and the lyrics are enticing enough that you not only pay close attention to the beat but also her. While I listen to the album I never get the feeling the two are fighting for supremacy on the tracks. They blend well like a perfectly blended banana milkshake.

Rachel is a beautiful singer. Her voice either gives me chills or calms my soul. My favorite song is "Starlight" because of this but also because of the lyrics. "but it's not starlighted city/nor was it the breeze that got me singing/no other sceneries had me feeling/it's you that got me feeling" The lyrics are cute yet comforting. "Autumn Breeze" is the song that got me into Jida and Lim. The song is so soothing and calming that when I first heard it it struck my nerves cause it sounded so damn good. This is my second favorite song on the album.

I think this album is pure beauty. I feel like I'm listening to a well painted canvas of colors and emotions. Jida and Lim work well together. I'm putting this album in my chill playlist. Overall I think this is a solid album. I loved everything about it. I rate this a 3/5.
