Chapters 178-187
This volume was very mediocre. It did have its badass moments though. Kaoru and the pedo creep finally fight and even though it was lame and Kaoru was ultimately stronger than the creep, he did have some cool method of fighting by hiding Madogu all around the battlefield confusing Kaoru as he attacks. That was cool but it didn't last long as once Kaoru figured it out, he easily beat him. But there was at one point where Kaoru almost forgave him until pedo creep fought back. Once again, why? Why are team Hokage so forgiving, especially when they are on the verge of being killed by them? Its lame ans makes no sense. Hokage doesn't have to kill anyone but they sure as hell don't have to forgive them. I did like Kaoru putting the creep in the stream after beating him. That was funny.
Then we move on to Tokiya who gets tricked by Mikoto posing as a helpless woman. Tokiya back hands her and says "I don't care if you're a girl, I'm not a feminist". That was hilarious with his super serious face but when you think about it, placing the word feminist there makes no sense as hitting or not hitting a woman doesn't make you or not make you a feminist. Anyway, Mokuren shows up and I guess he's dating Mikoto but the writing here makes her look weak as a character. They gang up on Tokiya only to get washed. This further proves my point that no one in really strong in this series except for Kurei. After winning a new challenger appears and oneshots Tokiya off screen.
We move on to Recca and crew only to get more fake deep ass moments. Kagero easily saves Recca's dad from one of the thugs and then Recca's dad easily beats the thug. Once again, the villains are mad weak if a regular civilian can beat them. The volume ends with Kagero telling Recca that Kurei is alive and on his way. I don;t know what Kurei is going to do in this situation as we have about 10 or so volumes left but please let more people get eviscerated. I'm tired of these lames ass forgiving fights. I want to see more people die. I bet Recca didn't even kill homie he burned to death. Mediocre volume but would you have fell to your death like Domon in oder to save Yanagi, or would you have let her die? I would have dropped her.
