Kurie’s back story was sad but it didn’t churn my heart. Mori just proved that he’s more sadistic by planting bombs in Kurenai and Kurei’s mother chests. What type of DBZ mess are we reading? But, Kurei’s flame keeps Kurenai’s soul alive as a flame. I’m just wondering if he could do that with other people and could have an army of flaming souls. There is no way Recca can beat him. Even if Recca mastered the last 5 or so Dragon,s Kurei has been training his entire life, he will not lose.
My favorite part of this volume had to be Kaoru killing Saicho. Dragging Saicho to the arena at night to be found out by J Keeper and then Joker was crazy but Joker betraying them and nearly killing Saicho was great. I was stunned and it evoked emotion. Saicho is in the hospital barely hanging on and I need him to die. If he dies Kaoru will become stronger, stronger so that he can make sure to protect his friends in the future. So our lineup of fights for the last round is looking to be Tokiya vs Kai, Noroi vs Domon, Joker vs Kaoru, Mikoto vs Fuko and REcca vs Kurei if Hokage gets this far. I wonder if Kaoru will be able to unlock the sixth legendary form on the Ankin and can Domon not be ripped to shreds by Noroi. I’m expecting a lot but things can turn around. I one and only hope, is that each of these fights are good not one sided like every damn match before this. This final battle has to go all out in the name of death. So, Is Saicho a trap like Haku?
This volume here was hot. We start off with Fuko using one of the kodama to summon Fujin again in order to open the crack in the Majigen. Once inside Fuko defeated Magensha sending him back to the real world where Domon finished him off and Team Hokage advances to the finals. Then Kurei comes out, Kurei introduces K-Keeper, a huge armored fighter who cuts Magensha in half for trying to capture Yanagi behind Kurei’s back. That was a nice moment. I’m glad to see more people dying.
Domon eating Dragon girl’s burger was funny. That’s all I have to say about that moment. Gashakura has a strong ass face by the way. The moment with Tokiya and Nemi was great. Tokiya thirsting for the blood of his sister’s killer and praying to god for thanks was amazing. I hope Tokiya goes bat shit crazy in his match against Kai, because we know it’s Kai. That’s one fight I can’t wait for.
So two days before the finals, some creepy old man shows up trying to give everyone advice. He even gave Domon a Madogu. We are at Volume 11 and in the finals of the tournament meaning, we most likely will see more of him and Raiha. I need to know just how far these two will b implemented into the story line going forward. Neon just can’t stay out of other people’s business. She straight up told Recca about Kurie’s past love named Kurenai. The only thing I didn’t like about this volume as that fact that Recca didn’t know who Kurenai was when he heard the name. The sole purpose of this man being in this tournament was to fight Kurei, who has a flame names Kurenai. That really pissed me off.
