Previous Episode
So the crew has been in space for two weeks and the only life they have come in contact with a worm. The worm is homesick and refusing to eat. It's in the cage hoping that it will soon die. You can see the desperation on the worms face. This worm deserves a nomination for it's acting but the Oscars are so white it won't be nominated because it's orange.
The crew getting a little antsy and looking for any opportunity to do something, such as switch rooms because the stars are moving the wrong way. The targeting system for the ships weapons is also uncalibrated so they take some time for target practice. Meanwhile Dr. Phlox is delighted to be allowed to speak during meals and trying to convince people to let him watch them have sex. That's called cuckholding and it's one of the reasons I don't like porn anymore.
Eventually they radar picks up a non respondent ship. T'Pol says to ignore it and continue along and Archer says some more racist things about Vulcans. Because that's what it is. Any time you start a sentence with "you people" there's a 73% chance that it's about to be some racist shit. Archer preps the crew to head over to the ship and check it out. Sato suddenly is suddenly claustrophobic and doesn't trust her own skills as a translator. Stating she's only the second best and Archer would be better off taking a universal translator with him. Archer makes her go anyway.
Once on the ship they find 15 dead aliens just hanging from the ceiling and being drained of purple goo. Guess who freaks out for the the dozenth time this episode? Sato. What's going on whit her. Suddenly she's afraid of everything and no longer confident in her abilities. Can two weeks in space do that?
They return to their own ship to discuss their findings. The dead aliens are Axnar and they're being drained of something similar to lymphatic fluids. They eventually decide that should return to the ship and try to signal it's homeworld. The Axnar ship is attacked and the crew runs back to their ship. They try to communicate but Sato is freaking out. She eventually manages to do so after Archer keeps yelling at her to do it again. Because all you really need is a white guy to yell at you and you'll get your shit together.
Eventually a second Axnar ship arrives and with some help from the Enterprise they take out the hostile ship. Then they drop the slug off on a random planet and everything is all good. That's it that's how the episode ends.
So, I think I'm just going to point out some crazy things in each episode from now on. Archer thinks he's hearing things on the ship. T'Pol and everyone else thinks he's just going crazy. I think he's been crazy. Why did Saito suddenly have all these fears and so much self doubt she didn't have in previous episodes? Why does Archer have a dog on the ship? That makes no sense. It wasn't there before. Did they mail the dog to him? How do they dispose of dog poop?
