Everyone is loving the second season of the popular rap sruvival show Unpretty Rapstar. I personally am liking it more than the first season. But what I want to know and what everyone will think of in a matter of weeks, what will happen after this? What will happen to all of the current rappers and future rappers to come to the show? As I write this, Rubber Soul's Kim and Starship Trainee Exy have joined the show.
After season one of Unpretty Rapstar the rappers blew up. Commercials, clothing lines, lots of other promotions and people listened to th emusic that they released after. Jimin was the only Idol on seson one. This season we have Yubin, Yezi, Hyorin, Jiyoon, and soon to be Sua and Exy. There might be more Idol rappers in the future. My point here is, how much will they blow up? Yubin and Hyorin will not blow up. Everyone loves Yubin and Hyorin will just gain a few more female fans. The only thing I see in their future is more music, I hope Yubin decides to release solo music, her and Lim, or a sub group together.That would be nothing but dope.
Yezi is no doubt gaining more and more popularity and respect from other rappers. I can see her becoming the rapper everyone wants to collab with like Kisum. I also see her releasing more music as well as possibly writing songs for Fiestar. They will become more famous because of her. Their album Black Label is amazing. Check it out and my review if you haven't already. I don't know what will happen to Jiyoon.
Exy and Sua will gain more attention as well as Kim and Rubber Soul. By the way, Rubber Soul is really good. All of them can sing, rap, dance and rap. Check them out. Now we shift to the underground rappers. Ahn Soomin is good. I hope she continues to rap becaus eI enjoy her lyrics and relaxed flow. She's not hardcore like the other rappers which is really good. Ash - B and Heize on the other hand need to work on everything. I don't really care for their lyrics that much. Heize has been getting better but she has more potential. Ash-B just needs to find her niche. I listened to their solo work uptill now and its not the best. But they can get better.
Kasper needs to work on her flow, delivery, and charisma. She has good lyrics but she is lacking in the above areas. Kasper will get better, its just a matter of time. Kittie B is good. She just needs the recognition. Trudy on the other hand needs to release music. She has garnered a great fan base but doesn't have much music out. Everything else is great. Also, besides the voice, she is nothing like Mirae. This is really getting old. Gilme is honestly amazing. She just has too much pressure from herself. I hope she gets better mentally and continues her career.
So these are my opinions on what will happen after this season of Unpretty Rapstar. I just hope to hear more music from all of these artist. I could really go for a Fiestar/Yezi comeback, New Rubber Soul music and more Trudy. Tell me what you guys think on the current season of Unpretty Rapstar as well as your predictions.
