SISTAR - Shake It Mini Album Review

Last year SISTAR brought us their second mini album Touch N Move. It housed the title and signature song Touch Ma Body. Everyone loved this song. It was a good catchy summer song, the guys loved to see the girls shake it and the girls love to dance to it. The mini album also boosted 5 other songs worthy of listening to. This year they returned to sly the charts and our hearts again. But there is a problem.

The title song for this album is Shake It. It is what it is. A summer song about shaking your butt. The music video is godly. I loved watching it multiple times. The girls are truly sexy as hell in this music video. The actual song isn't much. Its catchy but not too catchy. I could even say it is a forgettable song . It doesn't have much substance. The other songs are of course different.

SISTAR continue the vibe from last summer. The  only difference is that it doesn't compare. Once you release a summer themed album, doing it again the next year is not a good thing. Good Time is a good song about letting loose and having fun. The same can be said about GO UP. Don't Be A Baby featuring Giriboy and Bad Guy featuring Mad Clown are the love songs of the album.

All of the songs are good but they could have been added to Touch N Move to make a full length album. That would have been a good album with the exception of Shake It. It could have just been a single released for this summer and added with remixes of old songs like SISTAR have done in the past. Overall Shake It is decent but that's it. I personally don't see myself listening to this album as much as I have the rest. At best the rating for this album is a 2.9/5. It could have been much better.
