Badass Character Catalog: Mamoru Hijikata

This dude Mamoru has to be one of the most badass swordsmen to also be blind. Now I know what you're thinking "another blind swordsmen", but there is more to him than being blind. He has these sunglasses that allow him to see ultra violent rays that basically sketch out his path. So even though he is blind he can somewhat see due to his specially made glasses.  His cane, which hides his katana, also has the same thing so he knows where to step when waling. His blade is made with a mono molecular substance that allows him to virtually cut anything. This is proven a lot of the time in the series when he cuts bones, guns, and other hard like structures with such ease.

This dude is skilled in martial arts, kenjutsu and even has some back ground in military tactics. That makes this dude a hard opponent to face if he say you mugging and old lady. Mamoru has a very cold or even one sided personality. He only does things his way and he only does things to benefit himself.For Instance since he works for the Element Network which is an underground network of pretty much anything. They give Him jobs he must complete for money. The jobs usually cover, body guarding, assassinating, and pretty much anything the police wouldn't do even though its all for the good. Besides this he doesn't work so sometimes he'll just train all day and other times he'll just sleep all day. There's nothing else to it.

When it comes to his job he very straight forward and I could even say ruthless.  He doesn't kill but he will leave you mortally wounded. He's ripped the teeth and jaws of people who had bombs planted in their mouth without hesitation. He's cut off limbs and will even stab you a few times if it means you'll stay down. With this said he isn't completely a vigilante even though he is. Some times he reminds me of Batman and other times he's just a dick. I do love his character but he can be a bit rash. It may also be contradictory that he's such a badass but has a sweet tooth.

Mamoru isn't a bad person but he is kind of misunderstood but not at the same time. He thrives on testing his sword skills in the age of the gun and hurting people. He's misunderstood because he isn't totally a bad guy. Mamoru comes from the seinen series Until Death do us Part. It's a great series that I would highly recommend reading if you're looking for more of a mature series. This is it for now guys. I'll see you later with even more badass characters.
