Lots of great things happened this year and a majority of it is based around characters. This here is my list of characters that have put in work or have done great things in the year of 2014.
10: Kagami (Denpa Kyoushi)
This dude here is amazing. He constantly reminds me of myself. he does things is such weird ways and they always shock the people around him. This year he did his thing as usual being the greatest Otaku Teacher ever while at the same time of being just a great character in general. Keep up the good work Kagami.
9: Saitama (OnePunch Man)
This guy right here is the ultimate underdog. Everyone in the Hero Association thinks he's just a lowly C level guy but he's actually stronger than everyone else. But he doesn't let that bother him. Instead he continues to fight along their side and not complain. Saitama keep being who you are and soon everyone will know your glory.
8: Komamura (Bleach)
When this dude showed up on the battle field to fight Bambietta I got hyped. He was in his human immortal form and he looked like a boss. He had the best (in my opinion) fight in the entire arc. Everyone else had decent fights or moments but I was really liking his fight. It wasn't too much back in forth like Grimmy and Kenpachi but a really good fight. It was short but it was really sweet and to the point. I enjoyed the story around it and both characters in the fight. You the real MVP Kommamura.
7: Furuichi (Beelzebub)
This dude finally got his break this year. He beat the hell out of Takamiya's men and then basically became the new leader of Behemoth. He became the tactician of the group and his shine had come to be real. This is my favorite character in the series and to see him finally getting his time made me so happy. This was your year Furu chin.
6: Sabo (One Piece)
Did Sabo not kill it this year? He came in on hype and has not dropped it. He has showed how smart strong, and intelligent he his in only a few chapters. Not to mention that he now has the Mera Mera no Mi and can use Ace's fruit like he did. That gives me a theory. Bu tin all Sabo is one of my favorite characters. He is my favorite of the brothers. Yeah I said it.But no doubt he killed it this year.
5: Hakuryuu (Magi)
He did it. Not only did he kill his mortal enemy but he finally became my favorite character. It was a 3 way tie between him, Morgiana, and Alibaba. He won. He finally became my favorite Character. But his character has no doubt gotten even more complex and I can't wait to see what happens in 2015.
4: Tobirama (Naruto)
Once he knew the situation he immediately got to work on trying to defeat Madara. He came in and did everything in his power to try to save the earth. He set up plans and did pretty much every and anything a real Kage would do. that is why he is also my favorite Hokage and Kage in general. Tobirama is just a boss in general.
3: Ban (Seven Deadly Sins)(Nanatsu no Taizai)
Ban is not y favorite character. Diane is.The reason Ban made the list and Not Diane is because this year Ban really made me love him even more. He is somewhat of a complex character in the sense that he plays and haves fun but gets down to business when he has to. You can never truly tell
his true intentions or his feelings sometimes. Ban made the list because of what he did to Meliodas. We all know (if you don't then read it) that Ban has an eternal lover for a dead girl and for him to turn on his best friend to save her is what got him on the list. He even quit the Sins to look for a way to bring her back to life. Ban is certainly going through some things and in 2015 he will get even better.
2: Coco (Toriko)
Of course Coco was going to make the list. This year after being severely wounded by using his inner demon on Grinpatch, he came back after the time skip even stronger. He learned several new moves and they all world to his advantages. My favorite is poison doll. Being able to make complete living functions from poison is amazing. Of course he has kept his intellect and has continued to scope out the events and people going forward. He is the first to realize the Kaka is planning something. And for the Coco haters who say he is useless, who saved everyone's ass twice so far?
1: Ken (Sun Ken Rock)
This dude right here. It is hard to put into words how great he is. The only thing I can say is that he is one of the greatest main characters ever. I never have the main character as my favorite but he is one of the very few. He stands out the most in the series. He truly is a great character. HE has gone through o much and to just be able to get out of bed is amazing. If have not read Sun Ken Rock then do it. Its coming to an end very soon. The only thing I can tell you now is that Ken is just Ken. If you like Vash the Stampede and Edward Elrich than you will love Ken.

How dare you create a list of top ten characters of the year and not include the future pirate king Trafalgar Law. Are we serious here? Sabo? Wasn't he dead for like 13 years? Coco? Coco? We talking about top ten characters and you wanna bring up Toriko characters. This is egregious.
