Movies are fun, especially those with intricate plots. But sometimes we miss plot points on the first viewing or even the second. When we do manage to stumble upon these plot points it manages to shine a new light on a film. Here's a list of 5 plot points you probably missed.
Back to The Future Series: The Delorean is pretty important to the plot of the series. It's the time machine. But, have you ever noticed how there wasn't a single time paradox in the entire series? Do you know why that happens? The Delorean fails to start any time a time paradox was about to be created. For example, when Marty is waiting for a lightning bolt the car stalls when he's about to take off. But if he had took off sooner he would have overshot the lightning bolt. Or, when the car stalls behind a sign in 1950. I'm joking. That's nonsense. In real life Delorean was actually known to have problems starting. That's the cool part, but you can choose whichever one you want to believe.
Star Wars Series: Let's start with the fact that there can only be two Sith at a time. The master and the apprentice. But both Palpatine and Vader wanted Luke to be a new Sith. They were both okay with the idea they wanted each other dead. They probably could have been more successful if they weren't also planning ways for the other to die on the side. Speaking of success those Storm Troopers in the Death Star were pretty good at their jobs. They missed on purpose so they could follow the crew back to the rebel base.
Ferris Beuller's Day Off: Ferris constantly complains about his parents not buying him a car. Non stop. But, on the way home from the jail his mom tells his sister that she was going to buy him a car with the money from the deal she was working on, but it got messed up. Ferris basically screwed himself out of the thing he wanted. We can also talk about how suicidal Cameron is and how Ferris is just digging him deeper into a hole a by destroying his father's car. Cameron was already in a bad place at the start of the movie, now he's in an even worse spot. Seriously Ferris screwed everyone in that movie, including himself.
Jurassic Park: In the film Hammond swears he spared no expense in creating the park. However, there are tons of small hints showing that he cut corners in almost every area. When Sam is in the helicopter he can't fasten his seat belt, but Eli fastened hers with no problem. That's because Sam's was defective. The bathroom stalls fell over with one push, none of the cars had manual drive. Lastly and worst of all, when Dennis asks for a raise he's denied. If he had gotten his raise he would have never tried to steal the dinosaur embryos and the horrors of the movie would have never happened.
The Watchmen: In the opening credits Night Owl stops a mugger from robbing a rich couple in an alleyway outside of the theater. This is probably a reference to the fact that The Watchmen were originally going to be made up of D List DC Characters. Also in the scene is the cover for Batman #1. The watchmen film drops a ton of hints that the Wathmen universe is actually an alternate universe of DC Comics. It's pretty cool when you examine it. That movie is just awesome.
