Ubisoft Presents Chance to Design Video Games with Design To Win Contest

I know you've got that video game idea you've been holding on to for the longest amount of time. I know I do. Do you want to win a chance to take a course on game development? Well Ubisoft has a new contest out where you can win a chance to do so. It's simple contest and all you need is a good explanation along with some original concept art. That means I'm out of the running. If you'd like more details read below.

From July 7th to August 11th, you can submit entries including one overview of an original game concept and one submission of art that supports the game concept (must submit both in order to win). All entries will judged by The Next Level, Social Media Voting, and a panel of judges at PAX Prime 2014. Here is what the work will be judged on:
  • Originality: An original concept for a game using this template and copy/pasted into the app submission page.
  • Game Art: An original art piece that supports your game concept and is uploaded through the app submission page. This must be created to represent your game design but is not limited in it’s art form (character art, map level, etc.)
  • Technique: How did you execute your pieces? Are they well thought out, cohesive.
  • Social Voting: All votes/likes by Facebook users for the top 10 semi-finalists will be added up and assigned a ranking order.
The top 3 finalist will be chosen based on these cumulative scores. In case of a tie, the social rank order will determine who advances.
The finalists will be judged by industry professionals live at PAX Prime, where the winner will be announced on The Next Level Twitch page. Now’s your chance to get one step closer to taking your dreams to The Next Level. Good Luck!
If you'd like to enter the contest click here, if you don't want to enter pass it around  to your friends. No need to hold them back.
