The Saint Seiya Anime needs a Reboot

I remember being 5 or 6 and watching Saint Seiya on Cartoon Network. Those were the days. I went back to watch and read Saint Seiya 2 years ago but I couldn't find. I looked everywhere for the manga and I finally found it on MangaReader.com. They were uploading it consistently but once it got to 19 chapters they stopped. No other manga site had it and it was as if the manga had disappeared from the world. I soon found out that the only way to read Saint Seiya was to buy the manga. Now I like buying manga so its no problem, is what I thought. The volumes on cost 7 to 8 dollars but the bad part about all of this is that I don't have the money to constantly buy manga. At most I buy manga every 2 to 3 months. Christmas and my birthday are the only times I can splurge on manga and anime. In the last 3 years I've only been able to collect 3 volumes. This is sad. I need to find a job so I can buy more but I'm lazy. I sound like a real idiot right here.

So I bet you guessing "why don't you watch the anime"? That's another problem. The Saint Seiya manga started in 1886 and the anime came in later that year. So I'm saying that this series is pretty old. This and DBZ are both 28 years old. Crazy isn't it. But the dub for the anime is impossible to find. And even if you do find it only 60 of the 114 episodes are dubbed. The rest are lost in space. The DVD Box Sets that were released cost over 100 dollars. That makes the sub my only choice. I grew up on the dub so it was hard to cheat on the dub with the sub. The problem now is that the subs subtitles are horrible. You can't read them at all. I thought it was just the player I was using but I looked for others and it was the same. Its like I'm not meant to reread or watch one of the best Shonen series of all time. I can't see my fave character Shiryu uses dragons. I can't see Ikki troll all of his opponents. This is insane.

So what I'm suggesting is that we get a reboot. How awesome would that be? Imagine if Trigger (The company that did Kill La Kill) or Madhouse (The company that does Hajime no Ippo and HXH 2011) picked up the reboot. I could see the newly vibrant colors of the Cloths. I'm getting excited just thinking about it. If Madhouse did it I would probably subscribe to Crunchyroll for it. I would Pay to see it if madhouse did it. Since Toei animation already has the Saint Seiya Omega series it would be great to see the reboot with that animation. A new version of the original opening and ending theme would just be so sweet. I'm getting hard just thinking about it. Don't judge me. I know i'm just wishing and hoping but if we can get a new Sailor Moon and Hunter X Hunter we can some how get a new Saint Seiya. Just imagine it. Saint Seiya 2015 or Saint Seiya New Frontier. If you feel the same as I do spreads the word and we just might be able to wish upon a star and get a new anime. I'm out for now. I gonna go to Japan and talk to Toei Animation and Madhouse.

  1. Hey, first off I want to give you mad props. Haven't heard a lot of people in the USA keep up with Saint Seiya. But, one way I try to get people to support the show is by keeping up with my Parody (Abridged Series).

  2. it is imperative to not disparage its effect on the lives of hundreds and a large number of fans. To delineate exactly how much liking these fans feel, simply contrast any interest with anime, and the specialist, to an anime fan. 9anime.to
