5 Artist You Need In Your Playlist

 5 Artist You're Lacking On

UMI
UMI is the artist that I love. She makes high and low tempo music without every changing her style. She sings beautifully across the songs and stays true to her heart. Her lyrics are always personal and relatable. The "Remember Me" music video was my first insight to UMI. It was a beautiful Sunday but I was sad after the first chorus of the song. Its surreal from the cinematography, voice, lyrics and beat. I knew I had to be listening to her after that and I've had fun since. She recently released her EP "Love Language". If you like down to earth, honest music, UMI is for you.

Cochise
I came across Cochise one night on twitter with a clip of one of music videos for the song "Dig Me Freestyle". I thought it was a fun song so I continued listening only to find that Cochise makes very electrifying music. Its very catchy and easy to digest. His songs are upbeat and light and if you watch the music videos, you can't help but dance along. His music is great for those who love anime, video game and wrestling bars. I love to blast his music in the car. Recently "Redhead" has been blowing up on TikiTok, now you just need to join the wave.

Victoria Monet
I honestly don't remember how I found out about Victoria Monet. I do know that after I heard "Ass Like That" I had to be listening to her. Her voice is nothing short of lovely. Its infectious. She's been collaborating with Ariana Grande and tons of other hit artist. I enjoy her work as she embodies uptempo R&B. Its not generic or chasing after the latest HipHop trends. She's a true bread R&B artist.

Saturn, Alexander
Reading articles like these are fundamental. I came across Saturn from reading an interview she did with DJBooth a couple of months ago. Another rapper on the list that has anime references. I was drawn to her though because of her intelligence. She's smart and that's what makes the music better. She doesn't skip a beat when getting her bars off. Her recent project "Signs" is a concept album of the different zodiac signs. I normally don't care for astrology but this album wowed me. The production is great, the bars are tight, and her personally just floats over the entire project like a painted cloud.

Annale
Back when I used to use Soundcloud more than Spottily and Apple Music, I randomly found Annale. Her voice is so beautiful. I wasn't expecting that from her but wow does she sound like an R&B goddess. She has a short discography compared to the other artist on this list but what she's been able to do in a shorter catalogue has been able to keep me coming back for more. Recently she released a new single "Half of It" featuring Musiq Soulchild. One of my favorite songs is "Back of My Hand" featuring the great Stokely. I'll let the mv below do the rest of the talking.
