I'm Disappointed by the New World in One Piece

When word got out that here was more to One Piece than just the Grand Line and the Red Line, one could only dream of what the New World was like. When we were told that it was much more savage then what we've seen up to this point, one would imagine that people where going to be getting merked, annihilated, destroyed on sight. I thought people were going to pull on on other people and push their scalps back. That actually has happened, but not to the extend that was ingrained into us by some of the other stronger characters in One Piece.

So far, what is the worst thing we've seen since coming to the New World? Someone getting beat up? We've seen that before. A town being destroyed? We've seen that several times before. The most messed up thing I've witnessed in the New world or the most epic moment, action or whatever I've seen was the fact that Aokiji and Akainu fought for 10 days and remolded an entire Island in the process. Half of that Island is a fire pit with Volcanoes, the other half is a snowstorm with deathly winds.  A fight between two people lasted a weak and recreated a whole Island. Other than that, nothing has happened that's that astonishing.

The only good fight we've seen was Luffy vs Doflamingo. That was a great fight but with Mingo's crew, we should have seen way more creative fights to the death. Besides the backstory of Fisher Tiger, The Fishman Island Arc was heavily boring. Punk Hazard was garbage and besides the cool things like Sabo reappearing, finding out that there is a CP0, seeing Fujitora in action to some degree and Luffy vs Doflamingo, the entire Dressrosa Arc was drawn way out for a mediocre story.  We've only gotten highlights from the New World so far and not any full on amazing content.

We are currently in the Whole Cake Island Arc that has been great so far. I've enjoyed every chapter an have no complaints compared to the 3 previous Arcs. On top of that, things are only getting better. I'm really disappointed by the New World but it seems things are finally taking shape. Everything feels like an actual threat instead of a new challenge. Someone isn't making it out of Whole Cake Island. hopefully things only progress from here.
