Babylon - S.S.F.W. Album Review

Korean Singer, Song-writer and Producer Babylon has greeted us with a long awaited EP after last year's beautiful singles, "Fantasy" and "Between Us". There are a total of 4 songs (sadly) with each having a feature except for the intro song "Born and Burn" which is just under 2 minutes and consist of a careful bet with Babylon crooning but not singing any verses. I enjoyed the intro as it serves its purpose of being an into. The beat here was simple yet enjoyable. Nothing more and nothing less.

The next track, which is the title track, Ocean View features rapper San E. The overall feel of this track is amazing. The vibes here are well known as when I listen to it, I can imagine myself whipping a low rider with some Sun Chips, an Arizona Tea with a beautiful girl in the passenger seat. Long story short, this is a great Summer song. I love the background vocals that act as a part of the beat and is throughout the song. It creates a groovy vibe that meshes well with the drum hits.

"Babo" follows with a feature from Nafla. Babo has my second favorite beat on the album. The warping during Nafla's verse was really cool and the mid tempo R&B production during Babylon's singing was nice. It all comes together for a good love song. Finally we have "Cloud" featuring The Quiett and Adan. Cloud is very different from the previous songs. This track is covered in a trap and is sex. The lyrics are anything special but they also aren't bad. The lyrics are good enough to what the song is about. The beat is really good overall its a good track.

I enjoy S.S.F.W. a lot. It will probably be one of my favorite albums this month and one of these tracks is making its way into my top 10 songs of the month. I will definitely be listening to this album the rest of the year. I rate this album a 3/5.
