Krillin Is The Best Dragon Ball Character

How many times must Krillin die for you all to realize he is the best character in the entire Dragon Ball franchise? You read that correctly, Krillin is the best. He's better than; Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Roshi and whoever else you may like. He's the best one there and I'll tell you why if you haven't figured it out already.

In Dragon Ball the foes constantly elevate their levels. From Demon King Piccolo, to Frieza, to Cell and Kid Buu. The enemies never stop growing stronger, so do the Saiyans and Namekians that battle them. But, Krillin is not a Saiyan or Namekian, he's just a man, and as humans we have our limits. Despite all of this Krillin continued to break his limits until he was the strongest human on Earth. Toriyama himself stated that Krillin becomes the strongest human on Earth before the Cell Saga and remains so. He continued to break down his human limitations, and he still couldn't keep up.

Yet Krillin, remains vigilant and always willing to put his life in danger for the good of others, even if he is no competition in a fight. Long after Yamcha gives up fighting to be a baseball player, and Tien becomes a farmer, Krillin is still by Goku's side risking his life. Even when the Z fighters aren't active Krillin is a police officer, because he wants to help people. He may be no match for aliens or gods but there isn't a criminal that can stand in his way. It isn't even required that he work since 18 blackmailed Mr. Satan (Hercule) out of millions.

This is what makes Krillin so great, his only goals in life are to be a good father and help people. You may say all the Z fighters want to help people, and that's true, but Krillin wants to help people more than anyone else. Goku wants to save people, but only because he gets to fight stronger opponents. Vegata wants to help save people, so he isn't passed up by Goku in strength. Yamcha wants to save people, but only to get the girl and even Piccolo is doing it because he feels he needs to redeem himself as the reincarnation of Demon King Piccolo. Yet Krillin, doesn't have any ulterior motive. Sure as a kid he did, but as he grew up he dropped all of that, especially after starting a family.

Krillin may not be the strongest. He never will be. But, his motives are purer than any other characters. He realizes he has limits and he still finds way to be useful. He doesn't hide away from a fight he knows he will lose if he knows it'll save a life. He's not above evacuating civilians in a battle instead of hiding or being another casualty. Krillin isn't an extraordinary being. He's just a regular who who goes above and beyond what is asked of him and because of that, he is the best Dragon Ball Character.
