Black Superhero Month Day 14: Cyborg

Cyborg

Vic Stone was a starting for the Ford Titans, his high school football team. He always had an interest in super-human activities but was more focused on school and earning a football scholarship, Although he was star he had to beg his father Silas to come to his games. One day Victor finally gets tired of this shit and goes to his dad's job in a S.T.A.R Labs facility.

Silas tells Victor that because more super humans are popping up around the world his precious football will be pointless soon. Such a pessimist. Now a pissed of Victor starts to storm out of his father's lab when a motherbox unit in S.T.A.R. Labs opens a boom tube. Victor and several non important scientists are injured or killed by the boom tube.

Silas decides to show that he cares about Vic and attaches experimental bionic parts that have been  engineered from alien technology. Silas got help from T.O. Morrow (One of the two people smarter than Mr. Terrific) and Sarah Charles. Victor's life is saved and the energy from the motherbox are added to him in his new body known as Cyborg.

Cyborg is now able see the entire New Gods library. This lead to him discovering Darkseid's plan to invade earth. Cyborg helps to send Darkseid back with an ass beating. Cyborg then becomes one of the founding members of the Justice League, it was his idea, Batman fans want you to think otherwise but he assembled the team

When David Graves attacks the Justice League, Cyborg and the JLA head to the Valley of Souls, eerie name. While there discovers that he's only half alive and part of his soul has already passed on. He starts to hallucinate and sees himself telling him that his entire soul has passed on but he laughs this off LIKE A BOSS.

This leads to him accepting that he's not a dead man just a man who can now see the truth. He decides that he should forgive his father who only wanted to save his life especially after Darkseid's failed invasion.

    1. Design wise, I'm a fan of his current design in the comics where he has the ability to appear fully human. Character wise, I just feel like their two different versions of the characters. Right now Cyborg is a twenty something experienced hero. With Teen Titans he was another member of the team, doing more to find out who he was. He's still looking now but he has some idea. So it's hard to pick, but if I had to go with one it would be the current version in David Walker has created.
