Deadtube is hands down the worst manga I have ever read in my life at this point. I don't care about spoilers in this review. I'll spoil it, because I don't want you to read this. It isn't reverse psychology or anything like that. This is trash and the people behind it should be punished. I know the name of the author who specializes in depraved shit and the artist who mostly draws some ecchi stuff, but has now been corrupted.
I have some apologies I'd like to issue. I would like to apologize to Gantz for calling it "a sexual train wreck." I would like to apologize to Toriko for calling it "the stupidest shit I ever read." I would like to apologize for never even reading past chapter 3 of Bleach when the Big 3 were popping. I would like to apologize to Prison Lab for calling it "incel fiction." I'd like to apologize to Eden's Zero for saying Hiro Mashima is just remixing the same story again. No matter what I have said in the past Dead Tube is worse than any of them. It may not always be the worst manga I've ever read, but for now, right now, as of today, it is.
In the first arc, the film club is part of Deadtube, they set the whole thing up. In the second arc, the teacher enjoys being raped and murders the students when their rape isn't pleasurable enough, and is then murdered for trying to rape Machiya. In the third arc, they make a boy fall in love, then commit suicide. In the 4th there are 3 killers and a fake killer. The first is the twin of the first victim, momo is a killer, and the fake is a victim trapped in the suit, then the real OG killer is a little girl. Fifth arc, Machiya's sister gets tricked into murdering their father. Okay you know what, the parents did it. The parents started dead tube. Mai's sexual abuse and murder of her family were all for the game. Machiya's father isn't dead but is the last parent standing, he's a pervert who rigged the whole game.
Don't read this. I don't know how it has kept going, actually I do. Titties, and people who like violence against titties. When men die in the series, boom, pow, surprise. When women die, it's dragged out and they always end up naked somehow and we get images of Machiya's erection making his pants bulge. This is just hentai for people who like to see women get beat up. There are multiple scenes where we witness Machiya crying and masturbating to the video of his sister's murder because it is the best film he ever saw. Call me Roger Murtaugh, because I'm too old for this shit.
Dead Tube just seems like it's aiming to anger people with the stereotypes. If you see a guy, he's either a rapist or a virgin. None of the women are virgins. Women with large breasts are depraved, but small breast mean pure of heart, All big guys (fat or muscular, same group here) are rapists or fake tough guys, sometimes both. All the skinny guys are either virgins, participate in gang rapes or have incel tendencies of varying degree. Rape is used as a plot device here and it isn't done tactfully either. I mentioned in my review of Prison Lab how the rape aspect was a random element added late in the game, but at least it depicted the PTSD associated with something so traumatic; as opposed to making it a regular Tuesday afternoon where everyone gets raped and 90% of people are also rapists. Just flip a coin, which one are you going to be today?
I don't suggest anyone read this unless you're a fan of really depraved artwork. If it wasn't clear by now, the only thing good about this is the art. But what good is amazing art if you're only going to depict rape and murder? Even Francisco Goya painted beautiful portraits, landscapes and historical scenes. I don't remember who recommended this for me, but count your days.
