Yeseo - Million Things Album Review

Singer, Song-writer and Producer Yeseo has released her first EP "Million Things". The album is best describes as slightly turn up, slightly chill music that's also kind of sexy if you're in that mood. The album contains 7 tracks and the 8th track is the English version of the song "Silhouette".

The original version of Silhouette starts the album and sets the mood as a more toned down, chill yet soulful album but that changes later on. Yeseo has a high pitched voice but her singing ability is even higher. She hits those high notes with ease and her soft voice is perfect with the production. Yeseo constructs a mixture of R&B and Pop on this project that blends well together. It never seems like she's catering to either genre. The songs themselves, either Pop or R&B, have a dreamy, bubble gum state to them. Some songs I can imagine myself in the clouds listening to them and others like I'm under water but loving each experience. Some of these songs could be video game music.

"Lazy Mary Jane" was chosen as one of the title tracks along with "My Youth". The former may be my favorite with the instruments in the background creating a jazzy sound. The snapping was cool as well. The overall presentation of the song is amazing and I love being chill so the lazy theme fits my life model. The song is great all round. The flow of the album is seamless. Each song has its own flavor but flows like water. I usually don't care for songs translated into another language but I like the English version of Silhouette more than the Original. The song is already amazing with the beat having so much color and her singing is on point but it being in English makes the song a tad bit more accessible to me. Both versions are great regardless.

I love this album. Everything is spot on here. The singing was gorgeous, production beautiful and lively and the lyrics are spontaneous. I was taken away while listening to this album into a world of love and dancing. I rate this a 3.5/5. This may be in my top 5 later this year.
