Top 10 Songs: Month of April 2017

Live - Know Me
Even though his debut EP "Coming To You Live" came out in May, I've been listening to the album and this song since. If I could marry a beat, it would be this beat. This beat is perfect for the Spring, Summer, night life, drinking, and fucking to. You can do anything to this track. I did my taxes to this song. The beat goes hard, Dean's singing is just perfect and Live's cadence throughout the track great. It was destined for Live to create this track.

Kendrick Lamar - Yah
I thought Humble would  be my most listened to or favorite track from the album but I was wrong. I noticed that everyone's favorite track is either "DNA, Element, Duckworth or Loyalty" but Yah gets it for me. The mellow beat plus Kendrick's melancholy singing about his current state of mind is pretty damn cool. I just really love this track a lot

Joey Badass - Land Of The Free
I love this song. It perfectly depicts how America is but also the vibe Joey went for was great. Its a very light track but it bumps hard and the lyrics are truly great. His flow and cadence here is mostly my favorite part of the song. Its addicting to the pint where I wake up singing this song. Nothing but greatness.

Babylon - Cloud
I'm surprised that the more mainstream song on the album is my favorite track. I thought it would be "Ocean Drive" but "Cloud" gets the most replays. The beat is just dope and even though the song is just about fucking, Adan, Babylon and The Quiett's verses are pretty cool. They all just mesh well together for this track and it didn't feel awkward or feel like Babylon was pandering to the fact that Trap is popular right now. He truly made a good track.

EXID - Boy
The entire album is straight fire and picking a favorite was hard because I love every track but I find myself listening to "Boy" the most. I love the concept that they went with this album, its something new and It worked so well with them. I barely have anything to say because the song is just really good. I need more.

Lana Del Ray - Lust For Life
I'm not a big Lana Del Rey fan but I've heard her music before and this song here is amazing. The duet with The Weekend is just what I needed. Its a very calming track and I'm glad I listened to it for the first time at night because after replaying it so many times I was able to chill out and go to bed. The Weekend and Lana need to make even more music with each other. I need a full album after their previous tracks together.

Kisum - Sleep Tight
I was surprised at Kisum. I din't care for her last albums that much but this one here is great. Going back to the sound that completes Kisum on song like "You and Me" she created an album about love that I can't stop listening to. "Sleep Tight" is my favorite from her EP "The Sun, The Moon". Its a very refreshing track that my body definitely needed.

IU - Jam Jam
I don't know what my favorite song is from her latest album "Palette" but "Jam Jam" is the most fun to listen to. I'm loving this track. Its taking over my body. Its one of those tracks you might not here in a club but you can see it being used in a movie scene where the two love interest meet in a club and start dancing with each other. That's a long description but that's how great this track is. You can clearly visualize lots of scenarios while jamming out to it.

Boi B - My Jersey
I'm truly fucking with the beat on this song. I enjoy all of the beats from the "Night Vibe" EP but this one may be my favorite. The message of the song is pretty cool with Boi B rapping about his favorite outfits and stuntin on this hoes in them. The overall vibe of the song is just cool. He was right when he said these tracks are “Sexy music for those who cannot fall asleep!” The rest of the EP fits this theme but "My Jersey" is my favorite track.

Oh My Girl - Coloring Book
This song is very addicting. From start to finish I can't help but dance. The chorus is my favorite part because of the way Binnie, Jiho, Hyojung and Seunghee sing it. It just grabs at your heart and makes you fall in love with the song. The beat is nice and caters to the girls strengths here. This is a very well composed song.
