If you're unfamiliar with IDFWU, I give you an explanation describing why I do not and will not fuck with a person, object, fan base, idea etc. Today, I'm not fucking with Marvel Stans. For those of you who do not know, a Stan is defined as:
Here lies the first problem with Marvel Stans. They're overly defensive. This tweet, has had people telling me why Batman vs Superman is horrible for the last 48 hours. Notice, the tweet doesn't actually make fun of any Marvel movies. It's literally just a picture of the cast from Dr. Strange jumping. I didn't call any Marvel movies bad, and I didn't mention any DC movies. So why are people telling me how bad Batman vs Superman is? It's because Marvel stans are super defensive, but why?
It's because Marvel stans are insecure. As often as people will tell you "Marvel never made a bad movie," deep down they know Marvel has made a lot D+ movies, it happens when they release so many. It's okay, I know Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman are C+ best, B- if we're being extra generous and giving bonus points for cinematography and soundtracks. But I'm not going to tell the lie that DC has never made a bad movie because everyone reading this knows it's bullshit. Just like it's bullshit when people say Marvel never had a bad movie.
No matter how many times you say Captain America is currently the best handled hero in films right now. It doesn't matter how much you live Daredevil and Jessica Jones. If you ever say one bad thing about Marvel, you're labeled as anti-Marvel for all eternity. You own Guardians of The Galaxy on bluray but didn't like Ant-Man? Great, you're Anti-Marvel now. If you don't like every single thing Marvel has done, or you have the nerve to criticize something, you are eternally an Anti-Marvel, tap dancing, DC Comics Shill and there is nothing you can do about it.
I'll tell you the worst thing about Marvel stans. It's the harassment. I've never had a DC fans threaten to slap my mother or call me a "bitch ass nigga," even if I did get on Twitter and talk about how DC Rebirth was going to be one of the worst reboots ever for almost two hours. Marvel stans are like rabid piranhas and attack anything in their path. Even if you use the sandwich technique and say something good, then something bad, then something good about Marvel. If you dare mention Marvel in even a slight shade then you will be harassed for days on end. Don't even use a Tony Stark meme unless you're trying to get those caps lock tweets.
Marvels stans, I don't fuck with you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to finish Daredevil.

Stans are not cool because they are illogical and they don't even realize it. Everyone else does, but they don't. A Stan will point out how the 2004 film Catwoman was bad if you mention that Thor has horrible movies. Those things have nothing to do with each other. Instead of trying to defend Thor they go on a rampage and tell you why everything else is bad. You could say "I wish MF Doom would drop a new album" and a Marvel Stan will tell you why Fantastic 4 was horrible and Dr. Doom was ugly.Based on the central character in the Eminem song of the same name, a "stan" is an overzealous maniacal fan for any celebrity or athlete.
