Strawberry 100% Volume 7 Review: New Developmetn, New People, New Year

Chapters 54-62

So this volume starts off with Junpei and Aya getting physical in the film Club but things get weird and awkward, and confusing, even for me. So because they suck at trying to be intimate, Aya asks if he would go to the movies with him. He says yes and they go home. Pretty feel good intro here. Yui for some odd reason is still here, living and breathing in this manga. Apparently Omi closed down their dorms so she will be staying with Junpei, and us, for the rest of his life. But at least she keeps her clothes on. Then Tsukasa shows up. Then I question why Tsukasa keeps showing up but she actually is more important this time. We learn that Junpei never ate Satsuki's chocolates. It was actually Tsukasa's chocolates that she actually left on his step. Here we thought Tsukasa was being a good Samaritan but nope. You go girl.

Junpei and Aya go on what can be considered their first date. Everything was going smoothly until the end of the movie when we meet a new girl. This girl turns out to me Misuzu Sotomura. Hiroshi Sotomura's younger sister. Misuzu argues with Junpei over whether the film was good or not. She says its horrible while Junpei says it was good because the makers worked so hard on it. He sounds like every wannabe film, TV, and music critic on every social media sites and message boards. He lost of course. To a girl of course. He and Aya go to get something to eat but its awkward at first but eventually the begin to have a good time.

Hard to believe that a whole year has passed and these guys are now Sophomores. Everyone ended up in the same class except for Aya and Amachi. Thank god for Amachi but damn for Aya. Things are definitely going to be weird. I'm so glad Amachi was not in this volume. I would have killed someone if he was. Misuzu shows up instead to join th club. She's feisty as fuck. She gets into a fight with Satsuki that of course leads to a fight on top of Junpei who gets his dick touched. I would say lucky but his shit was crushed. I like Misuzu because she is not like the rest and she clearly, as well as Hiroshi, know he's a jackass for stringing Satsuki along.

Satsuki's birthday comes up but its not as Happy as I thought it would be. It was pretty sad because she really realized her fate. Of all the times she tried to deny it, this time she had no choice but to give in to the fact that she will lose to Aya. Satsuki took 3 L's this volume. Junpei took more L's but hers hit harder. Everything that happened at Omi was hilarious and pretty cool until Junpei took the biggest L yet. He got stomped out in front of Omi and Tsukasa. They whooped is ass.

This was a great volume. Lots of new territories were discovered here and from now on you can tell that things are going to get even more intense. Will Satsuki leave the school (I hope so she can stop taking L's), will Amachi die, will Junpei get his ass whooped again? Well we'll just have to see next week. Did anyone catch that Hiroshi trys to take pictures of his Sister?
