Strawberry 100% Volume 5 Review - You've Failed Me Junpei

Chapters 36-44

Volume 5 of Strawberry 100% starts out with Junpei fiddling in his notebook trying to figure out his connections to Aya, Tsukasa, and Katsuki. He doesn't know whether to continue dating Tsukasa after developing feelings for Satsuki and just what he is to Aya. Honestly, I'd date Satsuki and Tsukasa at the same time. Now I know you think I'm a pig but he rarely sees or talks to Tsukasa even though he knows where she lives and has her phone number. I like Junpei but he is an idiot.

Since the beach, things have been pretty awkward between Junpei and Aya. Aya having to finish her story for the Literature club doesn't help because she missed the finishing of the movie. But that kiss scene they had was kind of worth it. Even though it was just a peck, Poor Satuski though. She was so jealous she just stole her kiss from Junpei and ran. She's my favorite but you just know she's going to lose in the end.

The school festival was cool. They didn't focus too much on it like other school series which is good because they got the good points in smoothly. Seeing Junpei on a date with Tsukasa was good because they never fucking see each other. Even both of them rekindled their love for each other. And then she didn't show up until the end of the volume. Now here is where Junpei loses points. He hadn't seen her in a whole moth because School Festivals usually take place in November and it was close to Christmas when he saw her again.

She gave him the chance to do anything. First off, this dude was about to leave her house when she said her parents weren't home, but later was gonna feel up Satsuki in the burger joint. He makes no sense but back to Tsukasa. She told him to do anything but then he decided he wasn't ready. I understand that but to not even kiss her. He never even kissed her and they had been dating for I think a year. We need to stop this man. He's doing way too much yet not doing too much at all. I'm glad Tsukasa decided to break up with him and move on. She can't forever for him to come around. I doubt we see her for a while now that she literally isn't in the picture now.

Yui who is a childhood friend and basically sister to Junpei shows up. Yui is the definite loli of the group but she isn't like the rest. She isn't annoying and she is not a factor as of the moment. She really only sees Junpei as a friend even though he's seen her naked several times so far. I honestly would have never given my bed to her. We would be sharing or she gets the floor or we rotate each night. Its so weird that Junpei is looking at her but she isn't at him. This is a cool twist on the story and as it stands I doubt she'll become a factor as of now. She's still too young.

The volume ended off with Jenpei not getting any as usual but he didn't really have an ending. It just ended with a funny scene. This was a good volume nonetheless. The best volume so far has been volume 3 when Satsuki showed up. I became a Satuski fan there as well. But what is in store for the next volume. This was low key compared to the rest but Tsukasa and Junpei breaking up was the highlight. It still feels weird even though she was never around. I still stand with her on the matter. Junpei should have grabbed the cat or something when she gave him the chance.

Comeback next week for my review of volume 6. I'm pretty sure the next volume will be even more steamy. By the way I wish they would have had the classic New Years moment with Junpei and Aya wearing Yukatas but that may happen in the future with e the series already over with the first semester so early. Either way I know I'll be there.
