"Call me Bloodshed, or better yet, call me Wyndell"
Wyndell Dichinson - Bloodshed
Wyndell was born in a troubled neighborhood and he became the cause of a lot of trouble as he got older. When his young brother, Ricky, turned sixteen Wyndell convinced him to start helping break into cars. One night they were stopped by Spider-Man and Ricky told the police everything they wanted to know and more as soon as they arrived. Disgusted Wyndell left town after he made never wanting to be seen again.
Meanwhile Ricky plead guilty and received a suspended sentence as long as he stayed in school. He did and got good grades, graduated college and became manager at Johnson Scott Security Trading Company. He had a good life. Yet he feared that people would find out about him being arrested during his teenage years.
During this time Wyndell became a mercenary, training in various martial arts styles throughout Asia. As a mercenary he took the name Bloodshed and became a favorite for many drug gangs throughout the continent. On one mission he was contacted by a group of Americans that were working in Thailand. They offered him superhuman enhancements and a permanent role as a highly paid enforcer for them in the United States. Growing home sick he accepted.
Wyndell exceeded their expectations with the drug deliveries. During one trip to the united states the ship was stopped by the Coast Guard.Wyndell chose to simply dump the drugs into the sea to avoid any difficulties with the police. This caused his employers to be angry and demand that he replace the million dollars that those drugs were worth. On the way out he ran into a man named Nico, another mercenary who worked for the same employers. He was informed that he was supposed to kill Bloodshed if he didn't come up with the money.
With time running out Wyndell broke into his brother Ricky's apartment and demanded that Ricky give him the money. He explained that he knew what Ricky did for a living and had kept tabs on him. THe next day when Ricky went out for lunch he called out to Spider-Man for help on whim. Getting nervous he ran away. This caused Bloodshed to attack Spider-Man in this moment of confusion. During the fight he defeated Spider-Man but had a tracer placed on him.
Back at Ricky's apartment he didn't notice Bloodshed dropped the tracer when leaving. Ricky thinking over his options while Spider-Man tracked him down. When he saw Spider-Man, Ricky ran again. Spider-Man searched through the apartment and news archives. He came to the conclusion that Ricky was Bloodshed and looking for revenge. So he went to the man's job and got him fired.Bloodshed showed up at the same time to extort money from Ricky and Spider-Man finally pieced it together. Bloodshed decided he could just kill Spider-Man in place of the money and he almost got away with it but Ricky distracted him allowing Spider-Man to web him up for the police. While in prison he was attacked several times by people attempting to take his life for the one million dollars he lost.Ricky visited Wyndell in jail constantly hoping to convince him that crime wasn't the right choice. Bloodshed eventually agreed to testify against his former employees if it meant that he would go into witness protection and Spider-Man protected him on his way to and from court. During the ride from court to a hotel his transport was attacked with rocket launchers by his former employers men. Yet he managed to escape injury constantly due to his marital arts training in Asia.They managed to make it to the hotel. However Nico had left a note, poisoned the food and dropped off the Bloodshed armor demanding that Wyndell fight him like a man. Wyndell managed to slip out unnoticed but was followed by Spider-Man. They defeated Nico and his men at an abandoned warehouse. However an explosion allowed Nico to escape and Spider-Man to be distracted with saving Nico's men. Bloodshed took off his armor and walked away swearing revenge on Nico.
During Civil War he was part of a group that wanted to use the war between heroes as a chance to go on a crime spree but was stopped by Ironman. After that he was hired by The Hood to work in his army. Yet the crew was out smarted by Mr. Negative and disbanded.
