Now every wrestling critic, including myself, always talks about how "we" would improve a wrestling company. Now I'm going to do exactly that. These are my personal ideas and you don't have to take this seriously, like at all. I'm doing this because its fun and I like what I've come up with.
Lets start with the Knockouts. As it is Gail Kim is the Champion, Rebel and Awesome Kong have joined the Dollhouse after Taryn's departure and The Beautiful People are still alive. There are two factions and one solo Knockout. As it is, its boring. The Dollhouse have no direction and the Beautiful People will be around no matter what until one of them leaves the company and comes back six months later.
I propose that both factions be disbanded, but, not just in any old fashioned way. I would bring in a new Knockout to the ring, someone who's never stepped in a TNA ring or someone who has perfected their craft of wrestling. I would bring in someone like Hailey Hatred, Candice Lerae, Hiroyo Matsumoto, or even Mercedes Martinez. I think Martinez would really work for this scenario.
We bring in Martinez as the new girl who just wants to win and get the Championship. With her being new she would technically be at the bottom of the list and instead of her winning a Knockouts battle royal and then facing Gail for the title, we warm her up to the crowd. Get to know her character with a few short promos and matches but most importantly, she comes to destroy the factions. Not in a, she joins both of of them and takes them out from the inside, but something much more exciting.
Coming in to the company she would obviously have to side with Gail but that's not going to happen. She sets her target on the Beautiful People because at the moment its only three of them and they have less destructive force. After beating each member in matches that are more than 5 minutes she decides to take them all at once in a Gauntlet match. The stipulation is that if she wins, they disband. After she beats them she does the same to The Dollhouse but this feud would last a little longer as she would fight them separately in a match were the loser either leaves the Dollhouse or joins it. After the 4 matches the Dollhouse disbands and that leaves every Knockout for themselves.
With this scenario, I created a strong character and competitor who at this point can only go for and win the title since she beat everyone else. I love Gail but in this scenario we don't need her as the Champion. Let what ever name I dropped earlier take the title and run with it for a while. In the meantime Gail can feud with Jade because matches between the two would be amazing. For those of you who don't know, Jade is just her TNA name as she is known by Mia Yim in other promotions. Watch her other matches on Youtube or something because she is amazing. Since she's been in TNA, she hasn't been able to show all that she has.
I honestly don't know what these two would feud over but here are some suggestions. Maybe after the Dollhouse split Jade decides to change her ways and she need the help of Gail Kim so she takes her under her wing and after Jade learns and studies Kim, she turns on her and tell her that she's washed up now and they go on to feud for a bit. Maybe they have a match after Gail loses the title and they have such a good match that the loser ask for another, and another one, and another one. Just matches between the two to prove who is the better wrestler.
While these two feuds are going maybe we can see some other stuff or maybe we don't because besides her big butt, Rebel can't wrestle and I don't want to see her. With the way TNA is set up, lots of things could happen with the Knockouts division and we just have to wait for it. I would also bring in more talent in general because the scene needs fresh faces and with that addition maybe the Knockouts Tag Titles could return. That last one was a stretch.
After everything I've said here, just remember that is just my opinion. Even without the addition to the roster, TNA could still do so much with what they have but we just aren't seeing it.
