The other day I was washing the dishes and I started thinking. When I wash the dished I keep my cool by thinking about random stuff. At some point I started thinking about Sakura. Now we all know who this is. One of the most useless females in anime history. But today I'm here to tell you that she isn't that bad. And this is coming from someone who used to hate Sakura to the core.
In the beginning of the series Sakura seemed more put together than Naruto in terms of being a ninja. She knew all the basics and tell you everything. Thus leading one to suspect that she could do all of this. Wrong. We barely saw her do any of that. On top of that she jut had a bad attitude and was always gleaming at Sasuke. She had no purpose for anything and no one liked her character.
During the Chuunin Exams I actually started to gain respect for her. Even though it wasn't much she was able to protect Sasuke and Naruto until Rock Lee showed. Even though he wasn't much help. She even sacrificed her long hair to protect them. After that she had a pretty decent fight against Ino even thought he moral wise it sucked. She failed but going into the final round of the chuunin exam she showed more promise. When everyone was in a genjutsu she was able to release herself from it. One of the only few characters able to do. This showed her improvement but it went to waste.
She didn't get too much stronger and it got even worse. Her only purpose was to save Sasuke and she wasn't strong enough to go herself so she had to rely on Naruto. She was to weak to do anything and at that Sasuke had knocked her out the night he left. Yuo're caring for a guy who doesn't care about you. Good Job.
During the second half of the series she got better.
One of my favorite Naruto fights is Sakura vs Sasori. A lot of people say that if it wasn't for Granny Chiyo than she would have died. True but if it wasn't for Sakura, Granny Chiyo would have died. They needed each other so you'r point is irrelevant. The fight itself was really good. I can't really find any flaws maybe besides all the damn flashbacks. And on top of that she defeated him. Unlike Naruto, Sakura has a bodycount. After the fight I thought things would get better and I would continue to like her but no. She went back to the way she was before. Relying on others strength and her only purpose for living being Sasuke.
Now she got even more annoying but that isn't Sakura's fought, Kishimoto is a horrible writer when it comes to females. There are only 4 good females. Kurenai who became pregnant and useless, Anko who was never relevant, Temari who would never be relevant, and Hinata. I love Hinata to death but she's not that different from Sakura. Both of them are hung up on guys. Hinata's only purpose in the second half was to get stronger so that Naruto could notice her. At first it was to get stronger because she was weak and the heir to the Hyugas but later it became bout Naruto.
Both Sakura and Hinata have no purpose without Naruto and Sasuke. Therefore even though I Love Hinata, she's not that better than Sakura. Also Sakura did get considerably stronger. She was able to learn multiple and powerful techniques. On top of being a great medical ninja and having powers that allowed her to regenerate her strength and health as well as increasing her strength, she was truly smart. Sakura if it hadn't been for her immense obsession with Sasuke could have been one of the strongest characters in the series. She could have been a great Hokage. But all of that went to waste. This was just to let you know that Sakura isn't all that bad. She could have been better but Kishimoto just didn't have that in mind.
