Manga Spotlight: Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring

So Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring follows the new generation of ninja in the leaf village but truthfully this spin off series really focuses on Sasuke’s daughter Sarada. This spin off series consists of 10 chapters and features quite a few of the original Naruto characters. The plot of the spin off story is pretty simple, Sarada wants to know more about her father Sasuke and starts to question if Sakura is her real mother. There is more that I can add to my last statement but read the spin off series and you’ll find out more.

There is also a villain (he has a bunch of clones as well but these clones play a minor role in the overall story) in this spin off series be he is rather forgettable. I would like to point out that Sasuke is an awful father and husband. Naruto becomes kind of like a father figure to Sarada for a chapter or two. It’s funny because Naruto doesn’t really have time for his son Boruto but by circumstance (again read the spin off series homie so you can understand what I mean) Naruto gives out some father advice and also gives out some “John Cena never give up” moments to Sarada. Overall I enjoyed the spin off series. I been following the Naruto series since 2005 so to finally finish the series and then read the spin off series is a good feeling. Naruto is hokage and basically is the John Cena of anime/manga. Sasuke is Sasuke. Sakura gets some shine in the spin off series. Orochimaru somehow becomes younger in the spin off series. Kakashi is still that nigga and as mentioned before, you will see other character sightings in the spin off series.

Again the spin off series is only 10 chapters which really is a quick read. If you haven’t finished Naruto, go do so! The last fight between Sasuke and Naruto was pretty dope. The fourth shinobi war wasn’t all bad but I digress. Check out the spin off series and leave your opinion on what you think of the Naruto series in the comment section below.
