Young Nigga Mentality: America

I’m back with a new edition of Young Nigga Mentality. I wanted to touch on an article that I read. Actually I was going to check my email but before I did, this article caught my attention. I decided to read it. Here is the link for both the article and the open carry law that was passed in Georgia.


I’m very confused on why would this even be allowed as a law. I can see being able to carry a pistol around but a rife though? Things like this make me wonder about America. Imagine if a black person or any other race of people besides white people tried to walk into an airport with a gun like that. Shit even if the gun was just a pistol. I bet the police would be ready to point and shoot at a blink of an eye regardless of them being allowed to carry a gun into the airport or not. I just don’t understand.

Post 9/11 paranoia? The right to bear arms? White people just don’t give a fuck? People don’t trust the government, so we have to have guns on us? Keep those niggers and other filth away from me? Don’t take my guns! I don’t know but for a country that’s supposed to be number one, I think that is far from the truth. We are in some ways worse than other countries when it comes down to our laws etc.

Don’t get me wrong we have a lot of freedoms that some other developing countries and other countries in general don’t have. When it comes to entertainment we are on a different level. The pride that most Americans have could be better than other countries as well. Also you can’t forget about free speech. We have soldiers willing to fight and die for America. America isn’t all bad; actually America is nice but has ugly tendencies.

But reading an article like that makes me wonder. It doesn’t help that lately the hot topics of the country (things that have always been relevant but for some reason are now in the lime light due to the media etc.) have dealt with police brutally, racism, police killing unarmed people (black and other races), people stealing culture, gay rights, transgender people, etc. I don’t know man; America is weird.

I’m not anti-America, but I’m not patriotic by any means. Usually I try to ignore the type of stuff that’s going on in America because I’m trying to make it in this world myself but I can’t help but to wonder about this country sometimes.
