5 of WWEs Most Disturbing Matches

I have a confession. Wrestling is scripted. The winners and losers are predetermined (just like the NFL). However, sometimes things can get too real. Sometimes real life situations bleeding into storylines because it's good for business and makes money. That's common, but what happens when a match becomes too real. I'll tell you what happens. It becomes disturbing. I've put together a list of five disturbing matches from WWE, because I know you want to see them.

The Rock vs Mankind - I Quit 1998

We all know by now that chairshots to the head cause concussions and those can really screw someone up. Sort of like Chris Benoit. The point I'm trying to make is Mick Foley takes over a dozen chair shots straight to the head with no protection, gets his head busted the hardway and the chair caves in. All in the name of wrestling. In a twist Mick Foley and The Rock actually had a real life feud going over these chair shots. Mick was pissed off for almost a decade because Rock didn't check on him after the match. Turns out Rock was the first person to check on Mick but because of Mick's concussion he just forgot until Stone Cold Steve Austin told him that Rock was there first.

JBL vs Eddie Guerrero - Judgement Day 2004

Blading is what happens when a wrestler cuts himself to add blood to the match. Most wrestlers cut along the hairline and provide just a small cut that can be opened up. Rarely do you see guys like New Jack, Dusty Rhodes and Abdulah The Butcher who just go all out with it. Seriously look up pictures of their foreheads. Eddie Guerrero was not a man known for this. However in this match he hit an artery and covered his face and the ring with a layer of his blood and continued the match. JBL is also a dick. More on that later.

JBL vs John Cena - I Quit - Judgement Day 2005

Blading is a thing, we discussed that. But, wrestling is full contact and of course guys get busted open. JBL is a dick and he's known to intentionally hurt guys he doesn't like in the ring to prove he's a tough guy. He may also have tried to rape some other men in the locker room but that hasn't been proven, just heavily implied. Anyway, at this time John Cena was an up and comer in the WWE. JBL was an old fading star. What does he do? He purposely busts Cena open the hard way leaving a crimson mask as bloody as Eddie Guerrero's a year earlier. Yeah, JBL is a dick.

Chyna vs Pat Patterson and Gerald Briscoe

Let me explain Chyna. She was a woman who wrestled men and dated HHH in real life. HHH never broke up with her. Just started dating Stephanie McMahon. Instead of firing her and having to pay out her contract they simply harassed her until she quit, became addicted to drugs, fist fighting X-Pac on reality TV and doing parody porn. So yeah, Chyna is crazy but they made her crazy. In this match Chyna gets groped, her behind spanked, a titty twister, some low blows and generally degraded. I know what people will say "Pat Patterson is gay, it's no big deal." Whatever you say. It's still messed up and disturbing a way that isn't violence.



Shane McMahon vs Kurt Angle - King of The Ring 2001

Here's a fact. Shane is the son of Vince McMahon who owns WWE. Shane has a history of doing crazy things like jumping off the Titantron and everything in this match. There's a spot where Shane is supposed to go through some glass but the glass is too thick so they just do it again until it breaks. Kurt Angle also known more for his history of injuries than his gold medals is also in this match. He breaks his tailbone in this match. It's two guys who beat the hell out of each other to prove to everyone else that they can be tough.
