6 Comic Villains Who Aren't That Bad

Sometimes villains are right and go about it the wrong way. Let's go a step further, some villains are probably pretty cool to hang out with. Sure, they're villains but, they're also pretty cool people when they're not doing evil things. I'd totally hang out with Lex Luthor or Dr. Doom.

1. Lex Luthor: The more I think about it, Lex Luthor has a point. He thinks that Superman being around makes humans lazier. He thinks people have slacked on technological advancements and expect heroes to solve all of their problems now. Let's be honest, he's kind of right. Doesn't matter if it's comics, movies or animation the cops are always standing around waiting for Superman or the Justice League to show up. Nobody takes the initiative to just shoot an RPG at Toyman, because for some reason ever fodder goon has one and the police just have a pistol. Lex is right, if he didn't try to kill Superman weekly people would say "That genius is correct." He doesn't even try to take over the world, just kill Superman. It's kind of ridiculous.

2. Vandal Savage: Think about it, he's a caveman. When he was born it was a time where he had to fight to be the alpha male due to the pack mentality. In his time it was be the alpha male or you don't eat and you don't mate and you likely die. He's centuries old now, but he's still in that mindset. It's like how old people are set in their ways. In addition to that, he's been stuck in fight or flight mode for centuries. He knows he has problems. Maybe if he went to see a mental health professional and talked out his issues or tried some medication he'd be a lot more relaxed. But, who wants to treat the guy who keeps trying to take over the world and assert his dominance?

3. Dr. Doom: Again, he's kind of got a point. Not only does Dr. Doom have a point, he's got a plan and he's proven it works on the small scale. Dr. Doom believes that if one man ruled the world there would finally be world peace and great scientific advancements. He is the ruler of Latveria, and depending on the writer, it's second only to Wakanda. There's no excessive violence. Doom rules with an iron, yet gentle fist. His citizens actually love him and back him much to the surprise of most. Doom has a plan that seems crazy, but it's worked. The problem is he's a narcissist and thinks he's the best man for the job. That's not to bad when you consider Reed Richards wants the same thing but he's a "hero."

4. Magneto: He's a holocaust survivor who wants to make sure it never happens to anyone else again. Does he go about it the wrong way? Yeah. But, he plays hero just as much as villain. He's a charming guy and probably pretty cool to hang out with. Maybe if he didn't use nukes to prove his point people would listen. Even with that, he doesn't just go around killing everyone. He tries to talk it out first and he usually does. He's played hero just as much as villain really

5. Ra's Al-Ghul adn Poison Ivy: They're both environmental activist who go about it all wrong. Ra's seems to think the best solution to save the planet is to kill all the humans. He's even willing to die for it, multiple times. There's way more ways to do it than killing all the humans. Ivy doesn't want to kill all the humans. She's even taken in countless homeless and orphaned children over the years. Batman knows she's more human than plant. That's why he struggles with her, he knows she's got a point. Most touching is that she brings in Harley Quinn to keep her away from her abusive mate, Joker. She even brings in Catwoman

6. La Dama: Amparo Cardenas is a mob boss who wants to gain some control over heroes and villains in the South West. She also figures out Jaime Reyes is The Blue Beetle and doesn't tell anyone. She also adopts her niece Brenda after the death of her father. She forcefully kidnaps a large amount of teenagers who use magic. She's confronted about this and the teenagers say "It's actually kind of nice here," and she's left alone. By the end of the series she's not even a crime lord anymore. She's gone legit, and nobody believes her. She's a good person who just happened to fall into the organized crime business. It's not like she goes around ordering murders. That's just not her style.
