Madden, NBA 2K, FIFA, WWE and other sports games are the same. Every year
they hype you up with their new features. But when was the last time
they made a major improvement. What did Madden do this year that was so groundbreaking that it overshadowed everything they've done in the last 20 years? THQ and now 2K have a history of actually removing features from WWE games. We're not getting a new NCAA game anytime soon. But we're still not getting a team builder in Madden.
Every year you trade in your copy of a sports game and get $10 from GameStop, they put last years game on the shelf for $40 then you give them $50 in addition to the $10 they just gave you. If you're good at math you just realized you paid GameStop $50 dollars for a roster update, and they just made $90 off of you and another sucker.
I'm not calling you stupid for wanting
the newest roster. I'm just saying you made a bad decision this time.
There are other options. Operation Sports, is turning out a roster
update for NBA2K14 every month, including rookies, accurate shoes, gear,
tendencies, coach profiles, and rotations. NBA2K15 was essentially
NBA2K14 with a slightly improved My Player mode.
So how do they convince you to buy the game? They add a bunch of new legendary teams. They add a bunch of new shoes. But everyone doesn't care about shoes and not all of the legend's people wanted to play as are in the game, most notably Hall of Famer Reggie Miller. Why are we still paying for the same games?
What about EA's contributions of Madden. What did they add this year? They added more realistic turf and a new roster. That turf is getting crazy detailed. We see it every year in every trailer. That's one hell of a new game. We don't have NCAA football anymore. You'd think they would take some initiative and add the robust team builder to Madden by now. Nope. Year in and year out. It's the same thing.
How about 2K finally prying the WWE license from THQs cold dead hands with WWE 2k15? They made some great improvements. Cutting the number of created characters from 100 to 25 because it was just too crowded anyway. You're now able to import textures right in to the game. You can't use these on creating a championship belt or arena because those were removed. In addition the ability to create a finishing move was removed. Really ground breaking improvements there guys.
Developers, you need to fix your shit. Laziness of this level makes no sense. It's hard to support developers when they do things like this. Maybe we should just boycott them for 2015. Would they care? Probably not. What if we just complain? Will they listen? They'd pretend to. We'd all be satisfied until we got the game and realized we should have just waited a year. Here's to 2015 and another roster update.
