CM Punk Can Never Be The Best In The World

I see why you're all mad. CM Punk represented what should have been a new generation of WWE stars. CM Punk had the longest title reign in the last 10 years. CM Punk had one of the best Wrestlemania matches with The Undertaker. Then in a moments notice it all came crashing down. CM Punk was gone. Almost a year passes and he announces he's going to try UFC. But let's be honest, CM Punk had no chance in hell of being the number one guy in WWE.

There are three qualifications a person must fill to be top guy in WWE.
          1. A person must be able to wrestle. Yep, CM Punk can wrestle. Pretty damn good too.
          2. A person has to be able to cut a promo. Pipe Bombs for days.
          3. A person has to be able to represent and promote the company. CM Punk can not do that.

Being the top guy in WWE means you have to make a lot of appearances on talk shows, news segments and everything else. To be honest nobody really wants to see CM Punk make an appearance except his die hard fans. "But he does great" No he does great catering to a certain audience. He does great with nerds but that's because he likes comic books and The Walking Dead. But anywhere you see him, he's an asshole. "The interviewers just don't get him." No, he's just an asshole. He constantly ignores questions to go on tangents about things that don't matter. Sometimes he'll even snap and spend 8 minutes making fun of the host. Sure, that' entertaining to his die hard fans. But to everyone else, it's just a dick move.

John Cena on the other hand is good at these appearances. We know John isn't the squeaky clean guy he comes off as in interviews. He broke up Kenny Dykstra's marriage and got him fired. We know these things and a few other stories. But he can at least go out to an interview and play nice for a few minutes and smile. CM Punk on the other hand, stares at the interviewer with a scowl and answers everything with sarcasm and the attitude of a 14 year old girl.

I get it, he's a private guy, but you'd think he'd be nice enough to not be a dick. He spent half an hour on Colt Cabana's podcast complaining about how he should have been a bigger star. Yet, he expects everyone to leave him alone. Would it kill him to pretend to be a nice guy for a few minutes? Apparently it would and a Z-Pack wouldn't help.

Nope, I can't do this. Fuck being nice. You guys are just dick riding for Punk. "CM Punk is so great he's saying all the things we wanted to say for years." Bullshit, he's not saying anything new. As far as I'm concerned his pipe bomb promo was almost exactly the same as Carlito's return promo in 2009. But you guys didn't give a fuck about Carlito because he isn't an Indy darling. Well guess what, I'm a grown ass man, with responsibilities. I'm not sitting at home all day watching wrestling and tweeting Vince McMahon and HHH about how to make the shows better.

This dick riding for Punk needs to stop. It's been a year now. He's took all that time to rest. Then he got on Colt Cabana's podcast to complain about how his knees still give him issues and he's still having issues due to past concussions. Then he announces he's going to UFC the next week. Because that isn't a physical sport at all. But, you guys cheer and swear he's going to dominate the octagon. Let me tell you this.

CM Punk is a 36 year old man with nagging injuries to both knees, one elbow, and claims to still suffer from past concussions. He has no actual training in MMA fighting. "But he did Jiu Jitsu training" That's great, should I remind you Batista has a higher Jiu Jitsu ranking than him. If CM Punk steps in the octagon he will leave limping, on a stretcher or dead.

OH I forgot the we hate John Cena fan club, stop that bullshit. You only hate Cena because kids like him and you want to try to seem adult and edgier. Where the fuck were all the we hate Cena chants when he was the Dr. of Thuganomics? I'll wait. Do you really think Ryback is the best thing since Rye bread? NO! NO! NO NO! NO NO NO NO! You guys like Ryback because..... he's not Cena? Ryback can't cut promos, he injures his opponents and knows less wrestling moves than John Cena even if you subtract the 5 Moves of Victory. Yeah I called them 5 moves of victory. CM Punk had those too, irish whip, shining wizard, bull dog, elbow drop, GTS. Everyone has them everyone since Brett Hart had them, that's the WWE style.

Let it go. You like CM Punk, fine. But he's never coming back to wrestling and he'll do terrible in UFC. He said he'd like to try some acting but he's burnt all his bridges. Even Shad Gaspard was able to get some movie rolls because he didn't burn bridges. But, CM Punk has rubbed everyone in a position of power to help him. There's nobody left supporting him but Colt Cabana, AJ Lee and his die hard fans. His die hard fans have to accept reality. He's not the best in the world at anything. That's his ego speaking. You all bought into the lies.

You can hear Darrell on the CP Time and Powerbomb Jutsu podcasts. He also plays classic arcade games on The Cabinet

  1. I am a CM Punk fan but everything you said is true. Punk is kind of a bitch. He might die in UFC though. His UFC days are going to be sad

  3. As someone who is a CM Punk fan. I kind of have to disagree with you a bit on how he would represent the company. He could've been a new version of Stone Cold as this guy who didn't give a fuck what you think and I think he appealed to an audience that wanted to see that again. He made me love wrestling all over again as I was becoming a very jaded wrestling fan until that pipebomb.

I also connected with him on a personal level as he was doing things on TV that was kind of edgy as he was on Jimmy Kimmel and a few talk shows where he was fun to watch. He was an asshole but an asshole that wasn't afraid to speak his mind and actually speak some truth. I think the reason he didn't become THE MAN is this. The WWE I think were afraid of him. They were afraid of the fact that was too outspoken, too indie, too dangerous, and would connect with an audience that wanted pro wrestling, not sports entertainment. As much as they tried to make him a heel and do all of these things, it didn't stop fans from booing him.

When he returned in mid 2013, I think he lost some momentum and having to fight part-timers and underdeveloped talent was stifling. Plus, I think of it had to due with the fact that HHH didn't like him at all and wanted to bury him to the point that he wanted a WrestleMania match thinking it would do good for HHH. The way things ended for him in WWE was bittersweet but at least he did succeed in getting Daniel Bryan that spot to be in the main event at WrestleMania. Punk's departure was a real wound for me and personally, I don't want him to come back at all. I don't want him to be fed to someone who is too limited in the ring and has no connection with the fans. I don't want him to come back to a company that lies to its fans constantly. I'm too old for that and it's among the many reasons why I just don't want to watch WWE anymore.
