5 Bad Video Game Endings

I have this issue, when I play RPG games, I complete as many side quest as I can before finishing the main quest. Because of that it takes me an extreamly long time to finish them and I'm always at some incredible level by the end of the game. I seriously finished every side quest in Mass Effect 2 and 3. Recently I finished Skyrim. I was let down by that ending. I was inspired to create this list of bad video game endings. There's going to be spoilers so be warned.

5. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: So at the end of the game you beat Aludin. He dies in a long drawn out sequence. You can't even loot his corpse, actually there is no corpse. He turns to ash. Then you return to your own dimension. There you see a group of dragons that congratulate you and fly away. You converse with Paarthurnax and say the world is a better place now. He says "Maybe" and flies away. That's it. Dragons still attack cities, you don't get any reward. It just leaves you wonder "What now" A nice reward or something would have been nice. But nope, just gonna see some dragons fly away because I haven't seen that 120 times before. Even the finals speech is just a "maybe"

4. God of War 2: So at the end of the game you kill Athena in a fit of rage. That's it. Here's the thing. Athena hasn't done anything to screw you over. She made the mistake of giving you some bad news. Not sure why she deserves to die for that. She actually guided you through the first two games and was the only person trying to help you. What did that get? Her death for no real reason and she still helps you in the third game. What? This game just ends with Kratos being crazy and having a reason to escape Hell yet again. But seriously why does Athena even bother helping you in the third game. There's no reason. It wasn't necessary. You were mad at Zeus not Athena. C'mon this ending is a dim spot on the series.

3. Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2: See, the first game ends with Starkiller dying either way. In the good ending, he sacrifices himself. In the evil ending, he's assured he'll be tossed aside. In the second game it's revealed he was in a coma and his body was recovered by his allies, but there are clones and he doesn't know if he's one. In the ending of the second game he lives either way with Boba Fett following him. Why is this a bad ending? Because nothing ever gets solved and it's basically the same as the first. Doesn't realize he's being followed. I mean, that's a cop out just to write a sequel without having to create a good plot. The ending just ;eaves you sad because you know another lame sequel is coming.

2. Shenmue 2: So I remember playing the first two games of this series on dreamcast. The second games ends with Ryo finding a sword and note. That's it, a sword and a note. What was on the note? A poem. The game ended with a poem. That was it. A poem. "Congrats on putting up with all the flaws in this game, sticking through the first, now here's a poem and a cliffhanger." Who sits there and decides a poem is a good way to end a game? That's dumb. It's just a way to sell more copies before the sequel.

1. Prototype: The Whole Series: At the end of the first game, Alex destroys the virus and stops a bomb from destroying New York. He says his work is almost done and stares into the sunset. Having saved the day. For some reason he decided to make a stronger version of the virus before the second game starts. At the end of the second game James saves the day, then lives a happy life with Alex's sister and they wonder what to do next. I swear if the 3rd game starts with James creating a stronger virus, I can't even deal with these plots anymore. The whole plot of this series is bad. It better be lucky the gameplay is fun.
