If you've ever wanted to be a gym leader before, I know I have. You can now be one in the new Pokemon games Omega Ruby and Sapphire. It's not as simple as opening your own gym. Tonight Nintendo announced at a press conference that secret bases would be returning along with the Hoenn Region.
The new secret bases have increased the item limit from 15 to well over twenty and now allow players to create mazes and traps. It also allows you to create specific battle rules for your base. You'll also be able to obtain flags from bases where you've defeated the owner. The more skilled the player the higher the rank of the flag and the more it'll increase your rank. You're basically a gym leader. But there's also a new addition to the secret bases called Secret Pals.
With Secret Pals you'll be able to invite other players back to your base and help each other in various ways such as sharing decorations. You'll also be able to share your secret base with the Street Pass or by creating a QR code that can be shared.
