If you follow most anime fans, everyone has their own genre when it comes down to it, from shows with action to others with some kind of comedy. But there's a big debate on the moe genre. Is it even a genre? Do some people like it? Should it be gone? That's the main debate that always comes up. To me, yeah, I think we should end it. Well, the ones that make no sense and basically say "brother come here." Yeah, not a fan of those. But one moe show has actually caught my attention. The name of said show is called Is The Order A Rabbit?.

Now I won't give so much away, so you all can watch this awesome show *evil chuckle*. Cocoa is a student who has moved away from home so she can go to a school in a new town, which as of far has no name. As being a student being away from home, she has to work to pay for her school, at a cafe called the Rabbit House, where she meets Chino, a middle school girl who's family runs the business. Her grandfather passed away, so she devotes herself to run and make sure the cafe is in top shape. There, the two also meet a purple haired high school girl named Rize. Rize sneaks out from the cafe's changing room and points a gun at Cocoa's head, thinking she is an intruder. Chino soon clears the air and tells Rize everything, where she quickly puts down the gun. Reason she has the gun is because her dad was in the military, and she uses it for self defense.
So all three girls are getting along, and they show each other secrets and tips they learn from being in cafes, from telling each other about themselves, to working in the cafe and learning how to sculpt the foam inside of the coffee, all that kind of stuff. Basically the jist of Episode 1. In Episode 2, while on the way to school, Cocoa bumps into a girl while she is trying to get a rabbit to eat one of her pastries. Cocoa approaches her and basically snuggles all the bunnies there. The girl's name is Chiya, and she works at a Japanese cafe that used to rival the Rabbit House, called Ama No Usa, which is called uji mastra tea (Japanese Green Tea). Turns out Cocoa didn't have school since Chiya told her, and ends up in embarrassment. Soon the two become friends, and Cocoa takes her to the Rabbit House to introduce. The four then procceed to make bread, which Cocoa is an expert at since she used to work with her parents doing it. Later on, they head back to Chiya's cafe, where they have tea and pastries. Cocoa vows to work hard so that the Rabbit House is as popualr as Ama No Usa.
Now you're probably asking "what does rabbits have to do with this?" Well, Chino has a pet rabbit named Tiffy, which Cocoa instantly falls in love with. You can the rabbit is the mascot of the cafe with a secret. HE CAN TALK. Yup, talking rabbit. He only talks around Chino and Chino's father, who runs the cafe at night, in which it becomes a bar. Ama No Usa also has a rabbit.

So I know most people don't like moe shows, and neither do I quite frankly, but this is a show that I really think is good. It has character development, some laughs here and there, but most importantly, everyone has a good time. So for the first two episodes, and for a moe show done right, I'm giving Is The Order A Rabbit? a 10/10. I didn't find any flaws, and it is one I hope to pick up on DVD when it's released here in the states. Until next time guys, let the rabbits roam free.
