Hulkamania is Dead

It's not running wild, it's not even running mild anymore. Hulkamania is dead. Hulk Hogan is alive and kicking, as shown by him willing to host Wrestlemania XXX. But Hulkamania is dead. Sorry Hogan, people just don't care anymore. Actually I take that back. Old people care, but that's it. What WWE doesn't realize is Hulkamania died a long time ago, but somehow kept being revived.

The first blow dealt to Hulkamania was when he left WWF for the very first time. Hulkamania was at it's peak, then nobody cared. Even CM Punk fans are doing a better job trying to get him back than Hogan's fans. But that's not when Hulkamania really died. When Hulk showed up in WCW as a bad guy people didn't care. People still loved Hogan. Then it happened. People realized the NWO was supposed to be a fictional group based on reality. Everyone in the group was cutting ultra-realistic promos based on real life situations in their personal life. Then Out comes Hogan, and brother Hulkamania was running wild all over WCW. He was in full blown 80s over the top wrestling mode and eventually people got tired of it. But that wasn't the last time Hulkamania took a critical shot.

Somehow Hulkamania revived itself for another run in the iconic red and yellow. Hulk Hogan as tag team champions with Edge. Why did this happen? Hulk had to be at least 60 at that point. This was a horrible thing to do but Hulk's run didn't stop there. Hulk became a "luchador" Mr. America. Yes Hulk Hogan donned a luchador mask and people pretended it wasn't him. Did they really expect people to be that dumb? Sure I was a dumb kid at that time, but I knew that was Hulk Hogan. Everyone knew. r. America was rocking the vintage Hogan porn stache, hitting all of the Hogan poses and even his finishing moves. Why was he even called a luchador? He didn't do anything athletic. This was stupid and yet another blow was delivered to the legacy of Hulkamania. It almost ended there.

Hogan knows best proved that Hogan didn't know anything. Hulk was driven to help his daughter produce a platinum album. The problem is she can't sing. She can't even dance to cover it up. Sorry Brooke, the music industry just wasn't for you. It never will be. Then his son Nick killed a veteran. Well, he didn't kill him but he is brain dead. If Hogan knew best why didn't he lock up his car keys? Why didn't he teach Nick to follow the rules? Hogan you don't know anything about raising kids. Then your wife cheated on you, left you, took all your money and your house. But hey, you cheated too, so maybe you should have just had an open relationship. Hogan knows best was a shot that could cause brain damage. But seriously it didn't stop there. 

Down on his luck and in need of cash Hogan had a grand idea. Hulk Hogan Presents: Micro Championship Wrestling. I'm pretty sure Hogan was chilling with his good buddy Brian Knobbs said "Well, midget wrestling is big in Mexico, lets bring it t the states." The TV show consisted of a traveling band of little people who would wrestle in bars and sold out gymnasiums. The show didn't make it through a whole season and I'm pretty sure Tru TV lost money in. But it didn't stop there. Hulk teamed up with Knobbs again, added Jimmy Hart and started celebrity championship wrestling. Hulk would teach stars like Todd Bridges to wrestle. That show didn't last long either. Seriously did you need money that bad? Sure that was bad but then the final blow came.

Total Non Stop Action figured since they were doing good, they should bring in Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to help take them higher. Bad Idea. Hogan and Bischoff killed WCW and they almost killed TNA. They instantly brought in a bunch of old guys like Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. They removed the 6 sided ring that made TNA Unique. Then they added a ramp that attached to the ring apron. Why? Because they're old and can't be walking up ring steps. But then the shit started hitting the fan. Scott Hall didn't show up to a pay per view. So what did they do? They said "Samoa Joe, the fans respect you more than anyone else, go calm them down" and what followed was a verbal ass whooping. Samoa Joe let it be known that he wasn't a fan of the old blood ruining the company. Joe let loose om Kevin Nash and every other old timer that thought TNA was a place they can cash a check based solely on their name. Don't believe me? Watch it here. The repercussions of his words got Joe removed from TV. Fans didn't like this, the stopped watching. Ratings dropped, and the checks stopped coming. Next thing you know all those old guys were gone and only the youth remained. While TNA may not be a powerhouse in the states anymore, it is setting records over seas and recently gained television deals in several countries including; Japan, Germany and France. When Hogan drove TNA into the gutter that was the final blow. That's when Hulkamania died. His attempted murder of TNA somehow made people hate him. I wonder why.

Now, Hulkamania is dead. Hulk Hogan is running wild on Wrestlemania XXX. No I'm not talking about his sex tape. I'm talking 30 as in Wrestlemania 30. It's not looking good. Daniel Bryan isn't in the main event. The fans hate Batista. CM Punk is no where to be found and Hulkamania isn't even running mild. So the question for WWE is "What you gonna do, when Hulkamania dies on you?"
